I'm catching the tail end of this, seems to be some kind of controversy...

https://domaingang.com/domain-news/rob-monster-off-twitter-after-christchurch-massacre-controversy/

Must be something odd to evoke this type of a response from one of our members.

For what its worth, I don't consider the current Pope to be a particularly great authority, nor do I place a whole lot of confidence in the modern doctrine of the institutionalized religions who bow to Rome.

d'accord
so watch them dreaming
and look into their eyes
.. you will not need the pope

Your buddy said you believe tons of BS so seems likely then
The worst thing that I could ever say about him is that he has a weird conspiratorial streak. In particular, he interprets every massacre as a "false flag" – from 9/11 to the synagogue shooting to this New Zealand attack. Yes, even the moon landing. Rob told me he believes that flag is false too.

Does this "conspiracy theory" reflex make him a bigot who condones violence? No, not at all. It might make him somebody's "crazy uncle" who thinks far too much about the JFK assassination and the Apollo mission.
No one is censoring stupid flat-earthers :xf.laugh:

why the heck should they recommend them?

Because some people are looking for answers to questions like why can't you visit the "South pole", or why flights are routed in seemingly indirect ways.

That's why. If that video goes away, it is backed up here where it can also be dowloaded.

Questions are fun. Free speech lets you answer them to your satisfaction. It does not hurt anyone.

“There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.” Issac Asimov

and when I think about it a little deeper
it leads to the idea of the public
that you can't believe anything you see
in the media / video / youtube
and finally leads to:
somebody like you, Rob does believe video is haox
where actually 50 real people die

so it doesn't hurt
maybe not quite true

As for the kids perhaps we should start by not telling them fables about Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny. Ah, but that is harmless. Or is it.

As for teens, I imagine most kids are too busy playing video games, keeping up with the favorite social channels, or discovering porn. I actually think it is the adults we have to worry about.

As for the events in NZ, no debate that folks died. The truthseekers just want to know how it happened, who did it and why they did it. The alleged assailant is still waiting arraignment.

As for the thread-opening topic related to the recent events in Christ Church, let me say that I don't doubt that people died there. There is a reasonable discussion to be had about how they died, who did the shooting, and why. One of your countrymen, Wolfgang Eggert, has written about the topic recently here.

? It's literally on video. How they died, who did the shooting, the manifest explains why. The Eggert guy is yet another conspiracy nutter it looks like. His page is easily taken apart. I checked out the blue "socks" There are no socks, guy was wearing something blue underneath. From one angle it looks like he's wearing socks, the other angle you can see his feet. You can see them again when you go back. Conspiracy nutter site. Even the advertising -

1.) You can go to the south pole.
2.) You can charter a plane that flies over Antarctica.
3.) Commercial planes are generally charted in that way for business reasons. It doesn't make sense to fly 15 hours with a 1/3 or 1/4 full airplane.

  • Adventure Network [1]. Offers flights several times a year for a chilly US$45,800 per person. Also offers guided treks by ski to the South Pole. Covering the full 1170km from coast to Pole involves an estimated 65 days of skiing, for about 7-9 hours a day, hauling a sled weighing 110-130 lbs (50-60 kg), and the price for the privilege is US$60,500. Alternatively, you can cheat and fly halfway there with the "Ski the Last Degree" package, in which case you'll ski for only about two weeks and pay a mere US$58,900.
  • "White Desert" [2]. Offer an 8-day programme to the South Pole by air in a DC3 Basler turbo-prop plane. They are the only operators to offer a luxury service with an stylish and comfortable camp, award winning chef and highly experienced polar explorers as guides. White Desert operators from Dronning Maud Land, priced at 64,000 EUROS.
  • Arctic Odysseys. [3]. Offers a 10-day excursion to Antarctica, including a day at the Pole.
  • Icetrek, [4]. Offers a week-long excursion by air with one day at the Pole (US$33,500), and 15- to 25-day expeditions cross-country skiing the last 1 or 2 degrees (starting at US$38,500).
  • PolarExplorers, [5]. Offers a two-week expedition skiing the last degree to the Pole. US$37,500.
  • Voyage Concepts, [6]. Offers a two-week excursion by air with one day at the Pole, and a 25-day expedition (including all travel time and stopovers) skiing the last degree to the Pole and flying back. Departs from London by way of Buenos Aires. $42,450 and up.

Personally, I did not look into it. I am just acknowledging that there are folks in Germany that are looking into the matter. I don't know the guy's record but free speech let's us look into these things.

Not to be morbid but I am a fan of deathbed confessions and tombstones. For example, consider Wernher von Braun's personal tombstone.

upload_2019-4-2_13-1-9.png

He was of course the Chief Architect of the Apollo mission. Apollo being the other name for Nimrod, Osiris, Marduk, Zeus, etc. Ernest Shackleton the "south pole" explorer led the Nimrod expedition.

The Bible will not tell you that it was Esau who chopped off the head of Nimrod. You have to get a copy of the Book of Jasher. Secret societies like that Rosicrucians have a few copies laying around, for example.

Free speech allows us to both vet the content, and vet the source. This is also why it is popular to unperson and de-platform.

There are those who would perhaps like to cast me as the "crazy Dutch uncle" but of course the folks who know me also know I am not that which means we have cognitive dissonance.

At the end of the day, people can believe what they want. However, erasing history through censorship and bookburning is not the answer.

I agree that video is raising questions
but I don't know if those facts are cited correctly
and I don't know what the reason for detours is
in case they are real

maybe its because Antartic doesn't belong to a nation
but to all?
and it would be to difficult to get flights cleared?

I am giving an example of clues that people leave behind. You can do your own research. Or not. I have a registrar to run. I was simply giving you a fun exercise for testing for bias. For me, it was 9/11.

This seems like an appropriate time to highlight this smart, considerate lady who is also working for the greater good, yet being censored (for the same reasons Rob Monster highlights here, and helps fight).

youtube.com/watch?v=NWPHiCivn0I

If you find yourself reacting to the topic, you owe it to yourself (and all of us sharing the planet with you) to evaluate why. She's smart, well-spoken, and technically accurate on probably 90% of what she states. And that is separate from the broader large issues, where she is undeniably correct.

If first you support censoring flat earthers... later you lose any opportunity of learning that this lady was right. I hope you never need to know what the risks were to your kids.

Note she's not anti-vaccine.... she's anti antivax. In most cases, Gab.com (and dissenter.com) are the only places these are acceptable for publication, because so many ignorant mobs impose their will on the easily-swayed among us.

The National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC), founded under the name Dissatisifed Parents Together (DPT) in 1982, is an American 501(c)(3)[1] anti-vaccine organization which has been widely criticized as a leading source of fearmongering and misinformation about vaccines.

What am I missing? You just used the word censor, yet you just linked to a video on YouTube. She has a YouTube channel, FB page etc.

The flat earther videos are still on YouTube, they're just making a change as far as recommendation engine.

When people do get banned, de-platformed, it's usually because of rules violations. Their platform, their rules. Crying Nazi got banned because of......rules violations. Happens everywhere. The one mentioned earlier about abortion, their Twitter account is still live. Usually they use algorithms to handle stuff like that since they have so many people, usually set off by flags and such.

I would stop trying to spam Gab/Dissenter here. They ban all kinds of people as well. It's very easy to find former members who have been banned.

I don't hear anybody speaking out against your right to speak, some are using that same freedom to speak out against some of the nonsense being spouted at times. An an example, I don't hear anybody saying that one guy mentioned earlier can't have a site and post the stuff he does. I don't have anything against him being able to do that. But I can also point out he's a conspiracy nutter.

I remember when NPs was the place to discuss domains. Not sure when that changed. Kind of miss it.
