XR can be X Reality or Extended Reality.

Either way it describes the spectrum just like mixed reality.

Been looking around and shopping for a while now, saw many companies choosing to rebrand to xr or just starting with xr in their names..

Those are only some of my findings that are already developed (there are many more undeveloped by major companies like unity/sony etc..)

Decide for yourself.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I am amazed at some of the great Twitter handles still available to register. I wish they could sell easily. I picked up 1 or 2 good ones.

I tend to get them once I have the .com secured if they are available... I think it would improve marketability for the brand identity.

Yes, I know selling is against their TOS.

Edit. I also have a kickass VR handle and the matching XR handle. Twitter needs to relax their rules.

May I ask ,

- do you create an email for the domain and attach it to the twitter handle or just use a gmail or other.
- do you build any of the profiles for marketing presence, and follow industry specific pages etc.. ?
- do you plan to provide to the buyer every time or have other plans ?

I do not. I'm not that organized. I only have 1 great VR handle and maybe 2 great XR handles. Unfortunately, you have to provide a phone number for Twitter now. Im out of phones, lol. (Although I think there are ways around this.)

I create a generic gmail address for it

As best I can, I use the twitter account for the domain name to advertise on twitter, building an organic marketing following.
do you plan to provide to the buyer every time or have other plans ?
If I secure both the .com and the twitter account, I always include the twitter account as a package with my domain and increase the asking price.

You can set up with an email address as an option, they will email the auth code to your provided address. Easiest way I have learned is to do generic gmail accounts

I regged xrf*ck(.)com a few days ago. I noticed that the domain had been dropped about a month prior, which makes me wonder, did the name drop silently, without ever getting noticed by dropcatch or auction? Or, are there domainers out there who were well aware of the drop but decided to pass on the opportunity?

@bernard you can XR off . ... joking ;)

my input is if you check namebio , it has your F word only show 9 sales in the last 5 years, when used as secondary. so your chance is poor. however... if you head over to gfy and try to pimp your little friend out you might have some luck. good ****ing luck my friend.

2nd tip, is there is actually a " adult " thread for these tech domains on here worth checking out so no one feels F**ed over .

@ecomslice thanks.

Regarding dropped domains in general, can a valuable domain ever drop quietly in the background without getting picked up on the way down via dropcatch or auction?

Sometimes it is possible to get good domains that others might not have been interested in or did not spot for reg fee.

But all domains do go through a drop process, it can be slightly different as there are various ways domains can drop.

But the simple answer is any domain can be backordered or contended for at auction, so if you want the best chance of owning a domain name it might not be the most sensible tactic waiting for it to drop to reg fee status.

But value is very subjective and can be the case that it is within the eye of the beholder.

I purchased EntertainmentXR (.com) for $12 two weeks ago with absolutely no competition.

I think I got a bargain considering Entertainment360 sold for $25,000.

Not expecting to sell EntertainmentXR for $25,000 but it's a good sale to make reference to if I do receive future interest(y)

I'm dropping a shit load of XR names...but I'll likely hold on to:

WebXRGames dot com
OnlineXRGames dot com
XROnlineGames dot com

I still have the equivalent in the sister technologies as well.. Realisticly speaking, I think that "online" and "web" will not likely become a relevant keyword until these technologies are well into maturity and all of the more shorter versions of these dot coms are in use. Let's see how it goes!!

I think I have about 20-25 names total. I haven't acquired any lately, except 1 which was dropped and I regged.

I'm probably holding on to about 10 exceptional ones and about 20 sister tech keywords. Making room to diversity a little bit more...especially in future of money. XR is going to be a huge, lucrative industry and I'm looking to cash in on it when it happens, but even after considering when Apple finally releases their headset, XR industries have been grossly exaggerated, as with most emerging tech...but nothing has been more over hyped in the domaining community than XR related industries.

Diversify ! i agree .
VR XR AR and related technologies made domainers spend tons of $ on names in these niches , most of them are garbage.
on the other hand i can speak for myself but i made about 30k in sales in 2018 from tech names that are mostly related to this industry and that's when this industry is in its infancy (and im not the only one)
when we all know the ammount of companies in this field is nothing like its gonna be in a couple of years

My overall strategy is to diversify but mainly in TECH , at least until you make enough money to make a jump and diversify to other fields as well .

this is the best time EVER to invest in tech domains IMO

:xf.grin: You've probably told me how much you've made at least 2 - 3 times in PM, a big chunk of which I believe was made in a single sale am I right? Trust me, I get it! Congrats again! You're very proud of your self, and you should be! You're killing it! I've made about 10k in Tech names in the last 12 months and super happy about my current position. Cheers to diversity! :xf.wink:

Lol, thanks for sharing private talks ;)

And no it's not one sale ,and no it's not about me being proud of myself but about sharing knowledge .

To the point again

About 7 x,xxx ones and rest are smaller

All over in different tech categories mainly in the ones we are talking about and subniches of it .
