Wow. Good question! Never thought of this. I doubt np this but some naughty sites I "visit" do this I bet.

Really slows my PC.

With this thread alone (1 tab opened), I see average 3% cpu in use by the browser. Wondering is it good or bad. I am using linux / palemoon browser which is basically modern firefox fixed to look "classic", and a number of linux security settings such as blacklisting tons of spying or unnecessary stuff which may or may not be called by scripts or addons in use @ namepros, did not check the pages code specifically.

1. Learn Javascript
2. See if Namepros is really using you to mine for crypto by viewing the source of the page.

One can mine crypto using other people computer only with Javascript. javascript is a client-side scripting language.
Even if is an obfuscated text, there are a lot of converters out there and you can see the code behind.

I just checked my CPU and Ublock log.. I visited a domain for sale parked at unireg and it's still trying to connect to my work station.

CPU going from 3% to 12% with nothing else running in foreground.

@Premiums try disabling browser extensions one by one, browser extensions are the most common cause of this stuff.
