I saw some guys here want to buy names with Godaddy Only.
Is Godaddy Only Reliable and King in this Industry?
Is it OK to buy names with other Registrars too, according to Domainers.
I am asking because Godaddy don't give any discounts.
Other Registrars have Promos Time to Time.
If I want to buy 100 Names in $1 / $2 Promo I need $100 / $200 But If I want to buy same names with Godaddy I need $1100. It will be difficult to make profit if invest that much money at once.
Also I see these guys want to buy GD Names at $0.50 to $2.
Is it Godaddy Promotion Tactics? :xf.wink:

Thanks in Advance.

Or you know, just don't care about what registrar he uses according to your advice.

Not sold 10 domains? I have sold many many many domains over the last 10+ years. Many as a reseller, many to end users. Because I don't brag about it or I'm not a "domain celebrity" doesn't mean I don't know what I'm doing. There's a big world out there outside of Namepros you know? Haha.

I'm also a registrar myself. Well done on your wise perception. Haha.

I'm here to discuss domains, maybe once in a while do some deals and offer my advice and experience where possible. You know, actually useful advice, unlike "don't care about the registrars". You realise how daft that statement sounds?

My intention is clear to Newbies .. Don't buy High.
Lot of guys lost huge money just paying huge fees to registrars like GD.
And I saw they don't get even $1 Bid here ..

Buy Low .. Sell High. That is Only Mantra. Don't care about Registrars.
If you are looking to flip within the first 12 months, cost of domain registration is key. As of now, no one has been able to explain why any of the companies are better than the others. For hand registration why would I pay GoDaddy and Uniregistry more than eWallhost? I will try and sell on GoDaddy, but the first night I purchased my hand regs, I called in. The guy I talked to specifically said that he thought I would be able to sell FindYourHonda.com for a few thousand dollars. It does not seem GoDaddy has anyone's interest at heart other than their own. Ill likely let it expire as it is the essence of a trademark "concern" if ya know what I mean.

Yes that is a good thing to write. Still doesn't mean it is right to state "don't care about the registrars". That is all. Have a nice day/afternoon/evening :).

No idea who that guy is, but think for a moment perhaps why he said that. Come on now, you're smart enough to know that domain isn't even worth $0, right? :)

Good luck!

I didn't take anything personally. I like good lighthearted banter from time to time. Who doesn't? :) Good night.

At the time I didn't know it was worthless to me. My only hope, and thats a prayer, is a Honda dealership that is active in secondary financing and that sort of thing . . . a sister lot to the primary Honda dealership. I know they exist bc guess what, I use to sell cars. Please don't think less of me! The lessons we learn;)

My personal favorite is Epik.com. I have names in a dozen or so registrars. 1. Epik (ease of transfer in, no commission marketplace, etc)

I have actually had a few sales where the domain wasn't at godaddy and the end user wanted the name to be there. The name was with fasthosts and the lock period was on and lost the sale.

Depends what you want if you develop you have not got the time for quick flips though you may get some especially around $100-$500 mark yes even for hand reg (all domains were once handreg (unless got in sunrise/ga auction pre release)) If you want to invest in the long term and aquire half a dozen or more gems does it matter that you pay a little extra and make a way better sale or 3? There are other arenas for sure selling but commissions should be taken seriously expect to pay up to 60 percent in some of them Godaddy is 10 plus member fees....

Godaddy the king?
Godaddy has the most expensive prices on market, so it is not the king.
Plus, 10 bucks for whois privacy is one of the most crazy fee I've ever seen.
With 10 bucks I buy another domain, not whois privacy.
Ok... There is the "discount club" ( is it the correct name ? ) but you've to pay a monthly fee... lol...
Namesilo is the king, cheap prices & free whois privacy (there are people who need it).

In my opinion is not the king (for domainers with hunderd/thousand domains), maybe for end users with only 2 / 3 domains.

PS: Godaddy HAS NOT 2FA in my country.

I don't like GoDaddy too much, they maintain very high prices and also do not provide a very good customer service in my experience. They offer all of these special options for domains and whois-privacy-protection is very expensive. In my opinion it is not a very good choice for domainers. A bit too much hot air. There are better alternatives.

Main reason I like GoDaddy and GoDaddy resellers is the consolidate feature. No matter how many domains you have divide by 12 and you'll have the same fixed renewal costs every month of the year after moving them around to different months.

Used, to buy at Godaddy, now moving to Namesilo, which had lower renew fee.

Asking to everybody in this thread.

What would be your favorite one or your top 2 registrars in terms of lowest price and best affordable deals?

Thanks

The lowest prices and best affordable deals are with some of the worst domain registrars on the planet. I don't think that is any kind of criteria for choosing a registrar.

Yes, apart from those worst registrars. What I meant was, among the most trusted ones, who provides reasonably best deals for specific occasions or for bulk registration?
