QUALCOMM says: "5G will have an impact similar to the introduction of electricity or the automobile, affecting entire economies and benefiting entire societies."

I believe that quote says it all....

- All in...

5G is a technology that supports many other technologies.. So be careful with the type of names you pick.

I went to add my 5gdian.cn to 4.cn. checking other 5gdian.*** (5gdian.com, 5gdian.com.cn, etc..) they are all listed as commissioned sales.. why is that?

I posted this on another thread.
I purchased a 5G related domain name only to find out (whois lookup) that a association purchased the same name a few weeks before I did
with a different CCTLD. So Iooked for TM; C; and R; and found nothing. Three months later the letter C as in "Copyright" shows up next to thire domain name (version) so I search the copyright data base for a second time, nothing showed up. I know trademarks usually take a little longer to show up on the data base, but like I said , there's no "R" as in regestered, and no "TM". Then the letters e.V. showed up at the end of their domain name (version) those letters indicate a germany registration for associations, not a TM, or, R. It looks like the entity was a little late on the TM; C; R, as my domain name (version) was registered before any of this took place. What's next.

Have anyone noticed that there are no 5G domain name sales going on? and good, hand reg 5G domain names are hard to find. This niche is wound up super tight, and for those in the know, they can feel something is about to happen. sales of 5G domain names has been depressed for a while now with investors waiting for drops (sorry) and
bloggers trying their best to keep the lid on somthing that is bigger then the invention of electricity, the automobile, and the dotcom bubble Combined! Just running some half harted investment numbers on companies, and countries that are developing 5G technology adds up to trillions spent by the year 2020 (a short three years)

And with the coming voice search technology, domaining as we know it is changing, high ranking searches, keywords, and websites are at risk of much lower search results then what is enjoyed at present. Major search engins, as well as Apps seen on TV are making this change certain. The writting is on the wall.
Have you felt as though big search engins are making it harder for domainers? and not just in parking monetization, but in other ways as well? domainers are in deep reseach trying to find out where this thing called "Voice Search" is going, and what they must do to be there ahead of the rush.
you might say.. "Ok, but what does this has to do with 5G?" probably nothing, and probably everything. I say this because most domainers are investors that understand risk, and can read the writtings on the wall, in the blogs, on TV, etc. but when there's a whole niche of domain names that has been dubbed by major tech players as the greatest thing since electricity, and the automobile, with funding on pace to reach trillions! a savvy domainer would wonder why nothing is being said about 5G domain names, in domain blogs, and yet it is becoming increasingly harder to find good ones. I look at what is being said, but more importantly, I look at what's not being said. which is the case with 5G domain names.Headsup.

The 5G alliance – Mercedes signs deal with BMW, Audi and tech giants to accelerate self-driving cars

Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi have just signed the deal of the century with tech giants Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia, Intel and Qualcomm, in order to accelerate the development of the infrastructure necessary for the autonomous cars.

The three grand premium car makers of Germany have made a pact with the mobile network telecoms to fight new rivals coming out of nowhere into the automotive world. Both Uber and Google are now working on autonomous mobility.

The new alliance, dubbed the ”5G Automotive Association”, will “develop, test and promote communications solutions, support standardization and accelerate commercial availability and global market penetration,” the founders said in a statement released today. The new 5G service is set to be 10 times faster than the current 4G service.

The plan promoted by the members of the alliance integrates the main transportation routes within the territory of Germany, but also 20 largest cities in the country. The 5G technology is currently in development, but mass-market upgrades to mobile networks are not expected before 2020.

Last year, Mercedes, BMW and Audi joined forces and bought the digital map maker Here for 2.8 billion Euros ($3.15 billion) from Nokia. This week, the three grands will introduce the system that allows drivers to see for themselves what road conditions are like miles ahead using live data provided by other vehicles.

4G is still not implemented in India or other Developing Countries succesffully. So 5G is another 10 years away.

The Tech new and investments are all going to be comming in but the implementation is atleast 10 years away. Focus on 4G presently would be important i feel.

4G isn't going anywhere soon (within six years, imo), I remember reading a number of white papers explaining how 5G will actually make it easyer, and will be less expensive for the develpoing countries, to jump right pass 4G, (my words) because 5G has that capability, Also they will own some of the much sought after mmwave space that is being sold at auction, which is a whole nother story. 5G is Huge!

Meaning if a VR company need 5g they will brand with VR so better names for 5g are the Networking style.

5Gnetwork
5gsupport
Best5g
5gnetworking

Etc..

My opinion only.

Also, it seems a lot of early infrastructure will consist of fixed connections using fiber optics, or optical fiber especially in dense cities where a lot of fiber lines already exist..
One other point, fiber optics is the only fixed line that can handle 5G speeds, but a wireless radio connection ( know as millimeter wave) is far better then fiber.

I see i see. makes sense. thanks.

btw. since you mentioned 5gnetwork did you check this out?

https://who.is/whois/5gnetworks.com
5gnetworks.com is available! $60375.00

was registered since 2002 so...........I don't know. not my place to analyse as a newbie. leave that to the experts but $60+K ask? crazy!

closest I have to Best5g.com is
Hot5G.com

After looking at 5G for a little while. I've come to an amateur opinion that

Keyword + 5G is best with Brandable words. Words that have anything to do with Speed or Size or any word that has to do with Data or information because this is exact the purpose of 5G to pump info at high speeds. like....
(not mine)

Mega5g
Ultra5g
Fast5g
Giga5g

and 5G+Keyword

will be more about SEO as most products will obviously mention it's main benefit in front

as in...

5G Network
5G Server
5G Data

obvious products for or will be related to 5G

Mine? Oh to hell with it. here's the list. if there are repeats. let me know I will delete. Thanks.

Bit5G.com (just reg as I created this post. lol gave myself ideas as I wrote)
5GBit.com ( same here although wish I would have had this idea during dotster Special of which I took the liberty of registering these below)
Euro5G.com ( there really are still gems out there. just got this one. right now as of writing this post. I wanted something as broad and generic as possible.)

(most of the domains below are Geo's because Each country will have it's own 5G service and nothing is better to brand with than the name of the country where you are providing a service to.)

You "could" go generic. but the names of countries are usable "trademarks" I know they are not trademark but they should! because the power of the name of a country is indisputable.

Pick a product. add country name. now you are an authority for that product in that country.

simple yes?

I'd stick to just countries or even continent. preferably ones with the largest populations like or with the biggest money. people who can afford 5G when it comes out.

China
America
Europe
Canada
France
England
Britain
Dubai

I see that 5Gmena is taken in .com and .net and .org (seems taken by someone from Poland? odd but ok?)
why? because MENA stands for Middle East North Africa that covers all the oil rich countries and all thee others. will these area gobble up 5g when it comes out? Yes! Satellite service in desert? 5g is perfect here.
And as I write this. saw MENA5G.com was available. took it. (damn it where is dotster $1.99 special when you need it?lol)

I did get get 5GMiddleEast UAE5G

I will say this. Plenty of Chinese and asian domainers have secured 5g domains years ago. they saw value in 5G. plus 5 is a desirable number to the Chinese so good coincidence there.

and one last thing. yes 5G is about high speed internet. but I think for the mobilephone niche? 5G as a term can be use to replace the word "Mobile". so instead of a mobilephone store or accessory store. aligning your business with 5G in your domain can be of benefit for SEO.

if everyone is talking about 5G in the future. then having 5G in your domain might give some boost in traffic and in the searches.

Maybe..... I await to be corrected on that.

but what do I know? I'm supposedly the idiot of NP. lol

if you missed out on IOT? or VR? or AR? or Self Driving Car bandwagon? why not invest in the tech that will make all those things a REALITY?

PM if you like my domains. or not. or if you want to just chit chat.

Let's play 5g game!

Take 5g add 2-3 letters in front or after.
But it has to be relevant and "sound" good with 5g?

And see and confirm it's taken in .Com?

Even if it's not yours

GO!

Oh and umm no need to add .Com at the end.

Breaking News... follow the money trail...

SK Telecom to Invest $9B for IoT and 5G
Sue Marek
January 12, 2017
9:37 am PT
SK Telecom’s new CEO Park Jeong-ho told BusinessKorea that his company will invest $9 billion over the next three years in artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), autonomous vehicles, and 5G.

Specifically, Jeong-ho said the company will spend $4.17 billion on a new information communications and technology (ICT) system that will transform the company from a service provider into a platform operator. The company said its ICT system will include big data and storage, autonomous and connected car, smart home and energy management, and media and content.

SK Telecom will spend another $5 billion on its 5G network over the next three years. Jeong-ho said this investment is similar to what SK Telecom spent on its LTE network in 2012.

The company is working closely with Santa Clara, California-based Nvidia to develop its autonomous and connected car systems. The relationship between the two companies was highlighted at the recent Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

In addition, SK Telecom is also working closely with Samsung and Intel, according to Jeong-ho.

At a CES panel on 5G, Alex Choi, CTO and head of corporate R&D at SK Telecom said the company is planning to improve the upstream pipeline of 5G so that the carrier will be able to deliver live broadcasting services.

For example, Choi said the company envisions creating a new media experience by letting consumers upload augmented reality or virtual reality video feeds using 5G.

On the IoT front, SK Telecom’s new investment will likely complement its existing IoT networks. The company said earlier this year that it had finished deploying a low-power wide-area (LoRa) network and that the network would work in conjunction with the carriers’ LTE CAT-M network that is also intended for IoT applications. SK plans to have 4 million IoT devices on its networks by the end of 2017.

Moral ? Always check your receipts and don't reg via mobile

Oh forgot. Also got these gems
