Hello, I think it would be pretty useful to keep track of all LLLL.com sales , even the little ones under $100 so that , pretty soon , when the available LLLL.com will be finished , we`ll have a better idea on market prices.

It is important that these sales are confirmed. So before to post, make sure payment went OK.

I will start with todays` Sedo confirmed sales:

FISE.com 2,700 Euros
TSRT.com US $760
VEUP.com US $1,700

Also, I found interesting to see this average LLLL, getting bids up to $51 and reserve not me. It says it all.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Future Tech & advanced sciences are using alot of { Z & X's } in their names ,
i have a feeling these type domains with X& Z we will see further higher prices ,
which standardly are considered not such high valued letters

I know it is avoided like the plague among most .com domainers.. but I hope Y becomes a popular letter in Chinese domain names too.

For obvious reasons.

Hey Chris .. I really like the " Y " especially in CVCY.com its easy to say plus has brandability to it
its also is a short abbreviation of ~ WAI ~ in chinese which sounds the same ..
so whenever they go for cheap im tempted to buy them ... yah so X ~ Z & Y are some of my favorites right now in the 4l.coms . and its not only because of the Chinese ... to me its futuristic the letters ...

Thank you @harpo That's good to hear.

It might take many years and I may be wrong but I bought into the .xyz extension.

I believe that a short keyworld or pronouncable LLLL in .XYZ should be able to sell for $1,000 + someday if the .com is easily worth $100,000. That is my philosophy if you want to call it that.

Hopefully I have enough good ones in my portfolio to make a good return. I hand- regged everything or purchased for $10.00 and below.

To be honest I find the stability of the chips surprising. I was expecting them to crash way below 1k during mid summer. Email offers increased from the previous $900 to $1k. Definitely not expected this.

TPMZ for 1409.

I own TMPZ I guess the value should be at least similar.

Prices in all 4L categories are pretty stable at the moment. Maybe going up a bit, but very slowly.

Hoping it will get better during fall.

Same here not buying a thing.

They are back to pumping anything that they pumped and dumped 6 months ago like 6n.coms, 4l.nets and so on. I guess time will tell how long they are in it for this time before moving onto other things again leaving others to carry the bag.

But why?? IMO there are 2 fundamentals going on with 4L.coms that people want to "ignore" sometimes:
1) Overall demand is still there and not reducing
2) Supply of 4L.coms are still shrinking(even more so for CHIPS)
Above 2 cases means over time price can only increase. All these dips ARE ALL TEMPORARY. you wait them out.Domaining sometimes means patience. Good luck.

Why? Because chips never existed, it was all artificially blown up, without real end-user sale surge backing it up. Chips were regfee to $100 a piece two years ago. What's the buzz now then? Where are the mass-end user sales of chips? The western premiums are at least backed with real sales, and they come much cheaper as well on the average. Check the chart from 2013 (when average price was below $20!), and tell me it's not artificial: http://shortnames.com/llll/charts

Agreed. There is no more end user demand for chip than for western prem ones. To justify $1200 buying price, one need to assume that he is going to be selling 2% of the stock annually at about $7,500-$8,000 average per name just for 10% return (which is low for this kind of business). Good luck even with that.

End-user sales do not come as massive, neither in the West, nor in China, where society and business still behind in terms of accepting internet. But they are real. I just saw XWYH.com sold for 240 000 yuan at eName. Possible explanation, Xīnwén yè hang = Night News, nice end user sale, about $36 000.
When was the last time 4L.com (non-dictionary word) was sold to Western company for same money?
