Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Just purchased a domain in auction for the first time in ages but got a little bit carried away and bidded way more than I wanted to and probably more than the domain is currently worth :-$

I know it is not a popular term in most countries but it is quite well used term in places such as the UK and China.

The domain purchased was:

VR Supermarket (dot com)

Looks like a nice little vr solution for stores and supermarkets has been created by the company inVRsion which is called ShelfZone:

It's a nice domain with good future end user potential. Don't be worried about spending a bit over what you were looking to do. If the right buyer comes knocking quote them accordingly IMO :)

Cheers mate.

I have done that a few times myself so now I usually put everything I am interested in on a watch status so I don't forget lol.

There was only four people in the private auction, but myself and another member of this forum wen't in pretty hard in the beginning of the auction trying to scare the other one off and before we knew it we had both bidded more than we intended to :-o

It was a good buy and best of luck with it as I think it will be a great end-user sale :)

whats your thoughts using just letter v + keyword?

I've spent big on that term in the aftermarket and also made some good (i hope) single 'v' registrations.

Read up about vcommerce/v-commerce, some major companies in the world start with 'e' (ecommerce/electronic) - eBay/eHarmony, so you never know.

hmm.. unfortunately, there site seems bugged and english lang only works on some pages.. excluding the most crucial one which is listing vr domains for sale..

https://www.4.cn/sell-domains/overview/lang/en

anyone else can confirm this?

As far as I know thet have had an english option for a long time. I gave up due to horrible interface, site crashing and zero support. Took months just to list my domains.

The chinese are not big on user friendliness, quality or any type of service mindedness in general.

I remember browsing a shelf for a snickers bar inside a 7eleven in Shanghai. The clerk was mopping the floor. Instead of mopping around me he just ran his dirty mop right over my white sneakers.

They just don't get it.

not sure its all english! I don't think they put too much care into trasnlating it all. seems random.

will check more later. always nice to add VR domains to more markets! especially china! I think 4.cn is as good as it gets for china auctions.

Here's one Chinese vr company domain I saw randomly on LinkedIn UCCVR.COM just give you guys some ideas.

The question should arise....

"If one company sees value in using an LLLVR.COM in one of the most competitive "dog eat dog" countries in the world (just google GaoKao and you'll get it) then how many other entrepreneurs will do the same?"

Short domains with VR in it especially in this mobile world we live in where typing a long string domain will become annoying will definitely have value to vr domain investing.

China has discovered VR and it is eating it all up and of course China is the "Factory of the World"!

lol, it's crazy how all things come together now.. i told you guys about some inquiries on my domain OdysseyVR especially after Samsung applied for trademarks on the very same term..

actually some of the inquiries where from these guys as well with the hyphen in between: http://odyssey-vr.com/

just wonder why so many bet on the term "odyssey" together with VR ? i have already noticed at least 5-6 companies going for it besides Samsung (OdysseyCrew, Odyssey-VR, Odyssey from GoPro for 360 degrees VR content, United-Realities.com once contacted me as well last year due to their own "Odyssey" VR product.. )

man.. at the time of registration i had no clue how popular that term would become in the VR industry..
