Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
yes it means that someone put it into the cart and didn't pay for whatever reason. If someone clicks a buy now we allow them time to search the site for other names they might want, to add hosting etc and still check out with the domain. We don't want them to try and buy the name and continue to shop only to find out someone else bought the domain they had in their cart when they go to complete payment. Hopefully they want the name and come back that would be a great sale. It does go into the sold section but as you noted it says on hold for buyer purchase- meaning they didn't purchase yet. really hope they wind up coming back to buy it from you.

honestly I'd be suprised if domains get moved on gd into your sold section each time someone puts them in basket.

which is good thing for you cause maybe someone had to go a step further with your domain

I think 25k would make new vr record. so it won't be easy to get and might take while for anyone.. but.. u never know. we're getting closer to this sale each day.. and not further away from it
It's not a record. We have VR.p*rn for $100 000

Thank you so much,
Even though it's back on auction it rises my hopes for the name:)
It's got 25 days left they might come back before the auction is finished:)
Thanks again Joe

yes. I had offer on virtualRealityRide.com a day ago also.. $200. I decided not to bite.
it's virutalreality+kw but its one of my best and prefered ones. they could have picked anyone I have. but they decided to take my favorite so I said no.

let's hope our patience gets rewarded in future.

thanks for your valuable input as always.

Where was it from? Flippa? Email?

Facebook CEO Talks about his Vision for Virtual Reality

http://www.androidheadlines.com/2016/02/facebook-ceo-talks-vision-virtual-reality.html

In part, article notes: (emphasis mine...)

"Zuckerberg envisions that VR will allow users to easily capture major milestones and events in real time. He believes the technology will make these moments special by allowing users to experience entire settings in much greater detail than usual. He also touched on gaming and how VR will bring more immersive and diverse gaming experiences to users, even in large groups. Despite his excitement, he did caution that it would probably take at least 10 years for VR to reach its full potential, but also insisted that he and his company are hard at work on making those possibilities a reality."

What leapt out to me in the article, aside from the extended adoption timeline, was the reference to "major milestones" which I have interpreted to mean major life events. I think "virtographers" (my term...) are going to be in great demand to record these events, kind of like videographers today... (The difference being, they're not only going to be recording, but producing content in real-time...) To this end, I grabbed up several "milestone" oriented VR names - Am I crazy or was this actually a solid move... Opinions welcome...

VR is going to get so amazing, so life-like, and so unreal in terms of human experience that I had to go out and get:

UnVReal.com

ysvr.com 660 USD 2016-02-25 NameJet

A few months ago in this thread I said that pay several hundred dollars for LLVR or VRLL was a very risky investment. I admit I was very wrong.

Errors is learned rather than successes. :'(:'(:'(

Li-Fi is around the corner...

I so agree with you.

LiFi is the Internet of light.

Apple's new iPhone7 will be LiFi-enabled. Many other multi-billion dollar companies angling on this LED communication technology.

Once LiFi is available everywhere, every other tech, ie, VR, AI, Holo, ect, will show rapid advancement in people's everyday lives.

Simply...WOW.

I was making a case for them back in Sept/15
See my comments at bottom of pg 376
https://www.namepros.com/threads/virtual-reality-domains-vr.823495/page-376

And as I said then, you had about 3-6 months to get'm and we are nearing that end.
The chip collectors were not interested in them because of the 'V'.
Hope some of you collected a few. I think in a few years, they may fetch 2-5k to general investors and even more for specific end user buys.

A couple weeks ago, i was on GoDaddy auctions and watched a domain sell for around $600, i was like should i bid or not :-/ - I opted not to and watched the clock go all the way down to zero.

VRZH, i think ZH has some meaning in China?

This thread is moving as fast as it ever has!
Good to see 600 pages already :)

VR domains are now grabbing decent prices in the aftermarket, very unlikely to pick up a drop for thrity bucks anymore if it is a decent one. Shows you more domainers are clocking on to this niche. It is a once in a lifetime change happening right now, VR is going to change many things, including how we socialize, watch tv, design, manufacture.. etc.
