Hi guys,

Just curious if any of you gets this error when using a code:

Some of our best offers are limited to one per customer and it looks like you've already used one. We've updated your cart with the best offer, if one is available.

This is what I see below the code field:

The code entered has some restrictions.

Thank you so much for your time!

OK this is just an idea call me stupid or what ever, but I'm just trying to think out the box there's obviously a shit load of domainers bummed out about this godaddy discount codes....of course I am one of them but what if we all came up with our own domainers club or group and approached a registrar and said we have xxxx amount of domainers in our group and we are looking for a registrar to work with us on the price of .com registrations in exchange of our business and see if they will cut a deal with are group ..I remember watching on Sherpa Rick Swartz say something like he gets a discount on his .Com domains. because of the quantity that he buys.idk I might be wrong but I think it was something similar ...it's just an idea. maybe i been drinking too much lol its 4am I my thinking is cloudy I'm just trying to come up with a solution... don't BLAST ME for it..
Pretty wild idea but nothing is impossible. I'm in! :)

Not sure how to do this, but would like to find out, are you going to share with us how to do it? $5 beats $8.57 or whatever it is, not even considering that price.

I'm reading about it now..Terrible support lots of complaints...maybe we shouldn't go in this route. I didn't do my homework on it just saw a way to register for cheaper. I'll keep looking and get back to you guys if I discover something else.

For those that are unaware the wholesale rate for a .com registration is $8.10/yr. As a registrar you fundamentally cannot sell for less than this without making a financial loss. (And before somebody brings it up: yes I thoroughly understand the concept of loss-leading.)

GoDaddy has not made a profit in 18 years. To be crystal clear: they lose millions of dollars every single quarter. Everything about the company is economically and morally questionable. In their tireless commitment to being industry bullies they have created this current farcical perception that domain registrations should be $1.

The insane part is that even people who hate the company (and its infamous director) have been buying from GD because in doing so it actually contributes to their poor financial results. I count myself among them.

Hopefully this is a step in the right direction to restore some form of sensible understanding of the costs of domaining and (more broadly) doing business online.

the main purpose to sell cheap domain is earn a customer with the hope that he pay full price for other product. Future renewals are included.
I think that everything would be continued to work if there weren't appeared crazy people using more than 1 account, using IP modification like with Tor, and i do not know which other tons of unhetical method to take advantage of those discounts. When too many people take a so big advantage, with illegal tecniques, business must change their plans. IMO we have only to thanks those people.

Yep so true, it's only the domainers that ended this prematurely and now they are threatening to go elsewhere. Do you really think godaddy care??

Yep it appears Godad is cracking down on 99 cent domains 1 per cust.

Looks like you've used everything. I've posted like 250 coupons some time ago in the other thread.

Try paying through direct bank transfer. It always works for me, because they always record CC details.

I have tried brand new codes that have shown up. They're brand new to me, at least. I know that I have never used these codes. I keep track. But I still get that message:

We can only offer such great promotions by limiting them to one per customer. It looks as if you’ve already used this type of promotion.

Which I think is a BS message. So, I went over to NameCheap. Thats how fast someone can lose business.
