These rumors are most likely wrong. We'll know more at the build conference at the end of April. Most probably I would have thought there be a developer model released first then the actual consumer product closer to Q4 2015 is my guess.

I just have a few hand regs in holo, but I have 1 brandable: H o l o s s e u m .. play on Colosseum. I thought it would be good not only for things like virtual tours but also as a product brand name.

I noticed it's registered all the way up to .biz by someone after me.. which is most likely nothing , but I noticed it.

How do you all feel about holo brandables? Do you think they will fare well in the next several years?

as for your question,
you are actually asking in a holo thread, where everyone is buying holo domains, if they think holo domains will fare well in the future?

If we didn't think that, we wouldn't buy such domains now, would we?

^^ I asked about holo "brandables" as opposed to generics... which is a different animal. I feel that holo names in general should do fairly well, but most so far have been generics.

I also asked for no quotes "- quotes" ... so I can edit, just in case... but it's all good.

Ladies and Gents, the Microsoft Build Developer Conference 29th April - 1st May is where they'll be releasing hopefully a lot of new and exciting information about HoloLens.

I personally hope they also release a date for the development kit and that the date is sometime soon. Like VR, a released development kit for HoloLens, means new start-ups, and start-ups mean domain purchases.

This is one I let expire recently, really cant tell the value of this one as most people just go to existing forums, newsgroups etc or the manufacturer for tech support these days

Just finished watching the Hololens presentation as part of the first day keynote - I was blown away by the possibilities and the bright future Holograms (and by extension, Holo-related domains...) are going to have in the next few years... I suggest everyone check out the replay.
