I strongly urge any of you going into business with Dejan Lesicar (NamePros member @venturefile.com and owner of sites like sexydress.us) to be very cautious. He is about to cost our company Brandroot a lot of stress and money as we pursue serious legal action against him.

In short the details are as follows:

4/08/2014 - Dejan creates a Brandroot account
5/09/2014 - Wuvo.com is accepted and listed for sale at a price of $6750
09/29/2014 - Dejan requests that Wuvo.com be removed from Brandroot because "The name was accepted to an auction event."
10/14/2014 - Brandroot receives a $3,000 offer for wuvo.com
10/14/2104 - Dejan rejects and reminds us that he removed his name

We then remind him of his contractual obligation of keeping Wuvo exclusive to Brandroot for a period of 30 days following the request of removal.

10/15/2014 - In the interested buyer impatience he raises his offer to $4500.

Dejan is intrigued and writes, "Thank you for the update. That is a decent offer and I will seriously consider it." For several days Dejan is unresponsive, ignoring several of our emails.

10/22/2014 - In a matter of minutes of informing Dejan that he is no longer welcome to sell at Brandroot and that Wuvo.com will be removed, Wuvo.com sells at full price for $6750.

10/22/214 - Dejan decides that he does not want to sell Wuvo at Brandroot and that my email stating that his name was removed ended his contractual obligation with Brandroot (which the email in no way stated).

Our financial loss due to Dejan's unprofessionalism is not the concern. Brandroot is now left with one very unhappy customer threatening us with litigation. We have informed Dejan that we will stop at nothing, "making this venture of [his] a lot more expensive and stressful than [he] thought possible."

You've been warned. Dejan Lesicar is very capable of leaving you in one sticky situation if you enter into business with him.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I believe there's a saying that the Internet never forgets.

The "American online" might not WANT to forget. The trouble is, -this statement is utterly ridiculous anywhere else. Especially true in countries that require judges retire at age 68-70!

. . . . . . . . . . . FROM “GRAND CHAMBER” C-131/12* RULING ¶3. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
...the operator of a search engine is obliged to remove from the list of results displayed following a search made on the basis of a person’s name links to web pages, published by third parties and containing information relating to that person, also in a case where that name or information is not erased beforehand or simultaneously from those web pages, and even, as the case may be, when its publication in itself on those pages is lawful...”
GOOG, MSFT, et. al. are obliged to remove results displayed because of a search for a person’s name even if linking to existing legal web pages by third parties and even if there is no reason given at all unless the person is a public figure. Other terms searched in addition to the person's name do not matter either.

Reno v ACLU(
1997) was declared DEAD ON ARRIVAL in the EU.

It's a shame (insert alias here) was able to scrub his initial comments.

Crocodile tears is precise. Pluto/Rader has refused to apologize on behalf of venturefile. In my eyes, due to the nature of his initial threats (and yes they were threats) against and attempted intimidation of a NamePros member regarding a matter that had nothing to do with this forum, any of his apologies to the NamePros community are empty apologies.

As discobull suggested, Rader should seriously consider getting some public relations training. I would add to that some customer service training, business ethics courses as well as anger management counseling.

Precisely what Dejan has done to us, yes. .

Wow.

PLUTO/MOON/FRAUDSTER/WHATEVER. You are one of the most unethical and immoral POS to grace the internet.

How dare you reg your victims name!? Talk about "bad faith"...

Your copy and pasted apology may have fooled some of the kids, but that doesn't change who u are. - as you keep proving.

Wow.

If you're suggesting we have blackmailed Dejan in any way or have bullied him, I'm not sure where you have received your information.

"We have informed Dejan that we will stop at nothing.."
"Trust me, I am going to make this venture of yours a lot more expensive and stressful than you thought possible."
And you own his name.com

What part of that is not an attempt to bully?

I have no idea who has any rights to anything this in this case but none of it makes any sense to me in terms of the legal threats being thrown around.

The sale has nothing to do with the TM application at all and all that the buyer has not received is a domain name with a value of about $8 ($7000 if you're generous). If they received a refund there's not a lot that can be done... perhaps some minimal damages (filing fee of a TM $700 or so). Anything more than that is nonsense, imho. That's all small claims court numbers and in most places lawyers don't represent in small claims.

There is, rather stupidly, zero relationship between the buyer and seller(owner) so there is nothing there.

The terms (unless further contract are signed) seem to indicate that Dejan will have his account canceled and that's about it (if he did anything wrong at all). At most the dispute is over 30% of commission but I'm not even sure that's a valid claim ... and I hardly think a lawyer will be interested in taking a foreign national to task for a client that has violated the other party's rights.

This whole thing seems like macho grand standing to me (except VentureFile who's keeping sensibly quiet)..

@JudgeMind in Post 16 said move on... probably should have (I haven't but I have a hard time fighting momentum).....

There is a lot more to the story I did not include and don't feel like sharing anymore. This entire incident was a very long and drawn out process. I also had no idea when the buyer had filed for Trademark and don't know why he did without having the .com (although many companies have before him... including myself). He told me after I informed him of the buyer's decision not to sell that he had already started the Trademark. You can contact Dejan for the entire story if you'd like. Believe the story or not, it all happened. The opening of this thread was a very short timeline of all that occurred over a span of a week or two.

There is a lot more to the story? It seems like you gave us a pretty detailed summary of it but when the facts don't match up you go back in and edit your comments.

From now on anytime you post something I will take a screenshot of it and when you return to edit what you said I will post the original so everyone here on Namepros can see it.

If you can figure out what his username is. I think Uranus is appropriate for him

Why not Pluto? I am appalled at your insensitivity towards a celestial body which had its pride of place in the Zodiac and was since mercilessly demoted to something lesser....lol :)

NSFW try google image search for the terms Disney Pluto Porn and even with safe search on it's interesting what comes up.

Typically Pluto is in the doghouse.

So what is your statement? What are your intentions with his name.com ?

That cut and pasted apology is absolute trash. I noticed you even liked someones comment who said that same thing. wow.

IMO, you have stepped well over the criminal line, on multiple counts. And the sooner your 'business' closes down the better. Good day .

On the contentious subject of username changes:

Didn't there used to be a thread recording them to avoid confusion?

Clarification on username change: There is no rule that currently or in the past stipulated that a user must disclose their username change in a public thread. It is completely voluntary for a member to offer that information. A business member may change their username once at no additional cost to them, However if they wish to make an additional change, they must purchase a username change (Unless they switch to their Real first & last name, in which case it's a free change with verification of name).

More details about username changes can be found here: https://www.namepros.com/threads/username-changes.827092/

Username history (previous usernames) can be found on a member's profile.

OK that says
If you want to change your username, you may purchase a self-service username change in the NP$ Store

And the NP store says
https://www.namepros.com/store/
Username Change NP$250.00
And it gives me the choice of Purchase or Send Gift

So I guess for NP$250.00 I could kindly change another member's name to... I don't know, maybe Daffy Duck? Didn't Disney do a flying elephant?

A gifted Name Change does not force a change on another member, it only unlocks the ability for the member gifted to change their own name to what they want, when they want. ;)

I don't like the name change rule. You can harm others reputation, steal, cheat etc…..and then just change your name and nobody is the wiser. There should be a mandatory 2-4 week waiting period before a name change can take effect.

Having a waiting period will prevent the assholes from being assholes.
