Hello, I think it would be pretty useful to keep track of all LLLL.com sales , even the little ones under $100 so that , pretty soon , when the available LLLL.com will be finished , we`ll have a better idea on market prices.

It is important that these sales are confirmed. So before to post, make sure payment went OK.

I will start with todays` Sedo confirmed sales:

FISE.com 2,700 Euros
TSRT.com US $760
VEUP.com US $1,700

Also, I found interesting to see this average LLLL, getting bids up to $51 and reserve not me. It says it all.

Strange situation at Godaddy auctions:

There are a lot of closeouts available, but now (9/11/2012, 9:00 P.M. EDT) ALL (and I mean ALL) the expiring LLLL coms have at least one bid (most appear to be backorder bids of $10).

Most of them are not that great, either.

I'm talking about 1,500 domains.

Has a newbie gone on a backorder bender?

:'(

1500 ? That's huge :)
I don't know what's happening but I know that in this industry there is no shortage of fools who will pick up where the others left. And another cycle begins...

Now there are a few "0" bid domains, most of them 10 days out.

This is fascinating and scary.

My message to the massive backorder guy:

STOP!

For your sake.

These fools (including me) are the needed fresh blood to keep the ball rolling. So - you should thank us :)

My "Stop" post wasn't geared toward you or any other casual buyer.

I'm not saying that one should never buy any closeouts or expiring LLLL coms--I have bought a few, maybe 10--but placing 1,500 backorders seems a bit over the top and scary.

Seriously, I would be distressed if someone went bankrupt by misconstruing anything I might have said on a forum.

:(

Okay, so I don't wield that much power.

B-)

As i understand it, they are more like a company not an individual , apparently they want to corner the market as a long term investment ...

zyqc.com sold for $2,000 (Source: DNjournal)

Not mine.

Nothing special, but someone wanted it enough to fork out low 4 figures.

I'm watching the GoDaddy buyer with interest. This may be a sign that the stage when backordering of all LLLL.com is the norm is coming closer. When that happens, LLLL.com with bad letters will be considered a secure investment and will attract new money. It could however be a bad time to invest. Time will tell.

i let goum.com drop a few years back because i couldn't sell it
I think i let it drop or maybe i sold at a low price
I should have waited....

I have an LLLL.com that gets Chinese traffic and the .com.cn and the .net are both different Chinese companies. How could I go about starting an auction and get the most money for it?

It will not be easy for the .com.cn or .net companies to notice your domains, those that can make decisions may not even use internet. You may try 4.cn, or you may simply wait.

From this week's DNJournal.com Domain Sales section:

kipi.com $47,000
cesc.com $36,720
aoye.com $12,000
sjnk.com $4,200
cibb.com $4,000
cwdn.com $2,500
fweb.com $2,297
hotd.com $2,000

Andrew Reberry beat SnapNames, Namejet, Pool and Name.com to pick up aoie.com from the drop yesterday :bah:

No sign of the GoDaddy bulk LLLL.com buyer this week. Probably just an impulse buy.

There are fewer than 500 LLLL coms expiring now (on Godaddy, that is).

About 10 days ago, there were about 1,500, including 100's of BINs, some not too bad (I suspect that many of those were not picked up and will drop, to be picked up by dropcatchers or as hand regs.

No BINs now, though.

The window of opportunity for cheap LLLL seems to be closing now.

I just think that someone (one person/business) was doing a mass dump of their less desirable LLLL (although a few goodies did slip through).

kipi.com $47,000

someone kindly explain this to me. dnjournal says:
"
DomainAdvisors.com used the DomainNameSales platform to sell #3 Kipi.com for $47,500,
"

but kipi.com was listed in the name of Frank Shilling via Name Administration Inc. (BVI). so where does domainadvisors come from in this story?

regards,
tonecas

---------- Post added at 12:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:11 PM ----------

Now they all have bids on them at GoDaddy again for the next week.

voce.com 4.105 - NameJet - Sept, 30th, 2012
miau.com 2.200 - NameJet - Sept, 18th, 2012

In my opinion miau better than voce... very strange only 31 bidders for voce and 130 for miau and first higher price.

On the other hand azx.com - 4.600 - NameJet - Sept, 25th, 2012 with no meaning at all...

Since 2008 I've sold about 2900 LLLL.com domains with total profit of mere 15$k :)
To be particular I sold 1386 LLLL.com domains with 57$k profit and and 1507 LLLL.com domains with -42$k loss :) That's including all renewals, auction and paypal fees.

I wish I would had bought only those LLLL.coms that made me a profit :D

Unfortunately I had no any market-making end-user sales that would be in the top of DNJournal :(
I had only one 8k sale and one more 4.5k sale :(

These were different end-user sales, bulk sales, casual forum sales, auctions sales...

I still own more than 200 LLLL.com domains, mostly premium...

Unfortunately recently I have almost none end user sales but I don't plan to sell all my LLLL.coms, hoping to sell them time to time with hopingly profit.

Bought a few of these: AfnX, TymX, WfbX, Xxte.

What do you think of domains ending in X? Searched a bit on namebio and there were some nice sales with that. It looks brandable to me as for ex. all potential buyers for a one lll dot com are a target for the lllX dot com.
