bp.org was supposed to drop at snapnames on 17-Jan , it was still showing there on the 18 Jan but did not go to a drop. Now its showing reg'd until 2007 but no info is available for the whois ??

Anyone know anything about it ? another shady deal perhaps ?? :alien: or just renewed at the last minute on the 17th ?

Most probably renewed

Oh wait, if it dropped and was unsucessfully caught, it will have dissapeared...

in the whois it says "Name is reserved by Registry_Policy"

Which means that its been re-possessed by ICANN... I think

Once these primo two lettered (and I believe, two charactered as well) .ORG's "drop", they resolve back to the .ORG Registry: www.PIR.org :!: :gl:

Good for them, bad for us IMHO.
All the best!

I think its good for us, because if we get hold of them, they will be worth move because there are less of them to trade imho :)

Good analytics, IMHO. :tu:
Agree, generally ... but my comment above was for this one (bp.org) which seems to already be in the reclamation procees (too bad one of us domainers didn't contact and negotiate successfully to attain with the previous owner, prior to expiration) by PIR, IMHO.

Good stuff, happy domain name Sunday.

Thanks Jeff, Then what happens to them ? It says Name is reserved by Registry_Policy ?

Do they become available to reg again or just held ?

ICANN has had a policy for several years to not issue any more 1 or 2 character domain names. Those registered before the policy are grandfathered unless they expire, then they are taken off the available list theoretically forever.
