Should I Sell Domains For a Living?

For many, domain name investing is a part-time occupation, since many do not make enough money for domaining to cover their bills. After being laid off from his job, this domainer has asked for opinions on whether domain investing is a viable full-time occupation.

The investor in question, @uglydork, certainly made a great start to life as a full-time domainer, posting news of his $150,000 sale of Hatred.com to media personality Milo Yiannopoulos.

Crypto Domain Name ETH.com Has Been Sold

Cryptocurrency is a hot topic at the moment, with Bitcoin and Ethereum making headlines through global news outlets. According to a CoinBase chart, Ethereum’s value has increased by around 2,200% within a year. According to this discussion, the domain name ETH.com has been sold. ETH is the common abbreviation for Ethereum, and so ETH.com is likely to be worth six or even seven figures.

The domain name BTC.com, the abbreviation for Bitcoin, sold in 2014 for $1 million. Is it possible that ETH.com sold for a similar fee?

I Sold a Domain Name for $100,000

It’s been quite a week for domain investor Graham Haynes (@betthelot)! After featuring in a BBC TV report about domain name investing, Graham published the news that he had completed the sale of XYB.com for $100,000.

The seller went on to reveal that he had owned the domain name for sixteen years, and had been told numerous times that the domain was worth very little since it wasn’t classed as a “premium” domain name before 2014 and the emerging interest in domains from China.
