development The Million Dollar PX.com Domain Name Is Open for Business

In August of this year, ReviMedia announced the acquisition of the two-letter .COM domain name PX.com from MediaOptions in a transaction worth $1 million in cash, in addition to other considerations. Until yesterday, this remained the highest publicly revealed sale of a two-letter .COM domain name this year.

ReviMedia's CEO, Frans Van Hulle, launched PX last week; a powerful SaaS platform that allows PX's clients to generate leads using ReviMedia's patent-pending software, developed over the last five years and used in ReviMedia's processing of over 20 million leads.

Frans Van Hulle said, “We are proud to launch our platform, PX, and are excited to play our part in revolutionizing the lead generation industry.” In a conversation I had today with Frans, he revealed that PX.com has now signed up their first clients.

In October of this year, Frans took part in our Inside Interviews series, which profiles the buyers of high-end domain names. During the interview, he revealed that ReviMedia had been looking to rebrand their "LXP platform," and said that "nothing beats PX.com [as a domain name]."

Frans also told us that agreeing on the price took just one 30-minute conversation with Andrew Rosener of MediaOptions.

PX.com remained the largest two-letter .COM sale of the year until yesterday, when JG.com was sold on NameJet for $1,035,000.

It's great to see such a valuable domain name being developed into a fully-fledged business.
