In this edition of Detected Domains, the big news is that Heritage Auctions have completed the sale of Black.com. Aron Meystedt (@Napkin.com) of Heritage Auctions confirmed the sale to me this afternoon but was unable to mention any details of the transaction.
According to a DomainInvesting.com (@EJS) article from April 2017, the domain's asking price was $750,000 and it is likely that the name was sold close to this valuation.
In other news, @Frank.Schilling looks to have sold the domain cest.com after it went under WHOIS privacy at @Uniregistry. The name had an $89,000 “buy now” price at Afternic. Frank’s company acquired a number of four-letter .COM’s including cmlu.com, cmhe.com and clpu.com.
Following on from Frank’s sale of cest.com, his company also sold 77c.com to a Chinese domain investor. The name had a $98,000 “buy now” price at Afternic.
FH.com sold between investors in China, moving from Chinese registrar 22.cn to eName whilst also changing registrant information.
EPCS.com sold at Afternic for $9,000. The former owner is a domain investor who published details of the sale on NamePros. The domain was acquired by the investor for $999.
@Rick Schwartz registered QuantsWizard.com and QuantWizards.com. He also acquired NoOneCares.com from the Pheenix drop-catching platform.
WHX.com completed its move into the possession of a Chinese domain investor after it sold on @Sedo for $30,999 at the end of April.
Chinese domain brokerage company 62.com acquired ZPJ.com.
@Mike Mann’s $75,000 sale of WashingtonJournal.com is now complete as the domain has moved under privacy to a GoDaddy account. There are currently very few clues as to who the new owner could be.
