Need a logo for ITS.Asia $50 USD

Update: Important I have not found the right logo yet. The format will be in .gif, no one is submitting me their logos since Tuesday? I have decided to give this a last extension. If I receive no more submission, then I will be force to close this thread by that date. Deadline is FIRM.

Contest prize will now be $50 USD Firm.

End Date: Monday 3/9/2009.



1) Make sure the size somehow fit.
2)A slogon "Business Technology Solutions"
3)At least a picture to be representative
4)Should be technologically representative from all angles. Futuristic would be prefered, no cartoonish theme please.

Yes, you are right. It didn't look good with that one. I think one factor was that the logo was too big for that place. Here are the new versions. Try the top one.

It would be : Domain Names Auction House
Dont use "Dot asia domain names auction house" because dot Asia would be a limiting factor.

Hi everyone, this is an update with a few changes in request and extension of contest.

Contest prize will now be $50 USD Firm.

End Date: Unexpected: Extended Due to my paypal accounted being flaged for too many payments, paypal think its a security issue and require me to submit physical proofs. Which means it will be maybe in two weeks to solve.

I need a logo with size of 210x87 (As I have thought earlier)
But some people are sending out 260x98 and it also fits. Somehow I cant figure out the real size fit yet.

I need the logo to have a phrase like "ITS.Asia Technology and Business Solution" or "Web B-B Technology Solution", No More Domaining related phrases. Because I think I have found my niche, I will offer tech services and will in the future partnerup with programmers to offer tech business solutions.

Domaining and Dot Asia will be a part of my site, but the emphasis is now on pure tech and b-b. Therefore no more no more "Auction, or Domain names" logo please.

Do you mind clearing your website and doing the logo design the right way?

On line 57 in your homepage if you can replace this:

with this:

the problem will be solved.

If this sounds too complicated another easy way is to replace this image:

http://www.its.asia/themes/v6/img/logo_bg.gif

with the attached (completely transparent) image file.

This will get rid of the white gap that you see before you upload a logo and it will reveal the natural background.

Don't worry about the codes. You can leave them as they are. The reason why you can't find it is because PHP reads that code from one page and places it to another page. Use the other workaround.

If you could just replace the existing logo_bg.gif image with the new one attached in my previous message, this would solve the problem.

You will see the difference if you remove the current logo. You will see that the natural blue background is back. This also means that now you can use logos with transparent background.

The logo that you have doesn't exactly fit. It is 1px off and the lines don't exactly match. With transparent background this problems won't happen.

This is what you can do:
1. Remove the current logo, refresh the page and see the difference without any logo.
2. Upload logos from now on only with transparent background.

Also I had a closer look at image size. This is what you need :

260x91px gif or png with transparent background.

Gif files support simple transparency. Png files support semi transparency as well. This means if there is a semi transparency like a drop shadow, png should be used instead gif.

260x91px, png with transparent background. Don't convert to jpg. Use as they are. I will have another go later on.

I am not sure how notepad++5.1 search feature work. It seems I can't find probidlog.jpg anywhere on the file. Maybe its there, but somehow the search feature are only used for codes and not for anything else? Do you know a way to search in notepad++5.1?

DOT GIF PREFERED now since I found out that Microsoft Internet does not support .png and .jpg is not transparent.

I prefer a memorable image with the logo. Something like a globe would be nice.

The the slogan you selected is too simple too. I dont think its memorable that way.

Don't convert any images. It will lose quality. I will create one gif and one jpg. No problem there. The gif or jpg images are created from vector graphics. Most of the designers here use vector graphics. The way this works enables to create high quality images at any size.

Example:

Please let me know which of these designs you like more. I also tried to make it fit better. The fitting is no problem once you select a design.

The first is gif with transparent background the second is jpg, both are 260x91px

Animation is no problem with gif images. But I don't think that it will look good on your website. What kind of animation do you have in mind?

Do you have a second or third tagline. The taglines could change as an animation.

Wow, I absolutely like the absolute color gradient tone you have marcello. As I said before, your choice of font is horrible.

Color looks too monotone, meaning it blends in (fit the background well) however it does not stand out. Not a good fit for business.

In these last 5 entries of mine there are 3 different fonts and 3 different colour combinations. There is also 2 different placement of the globe. Can you be more specific? I didn't understand anything from your last message. If you can tell me which one of the 5 is better I can work on different colour combinations.

tech4 you seem like you really don't know what you want in my opinion. All you seem to know is what you don't want.

May I suggest going to 1001fonts.com or dafont.com and selecting a font for the people to use? Or a font that looks like what you want?

Maybe bringing up some logos that you like might narrow down this confusion?
