Just wanted to get some comments on my Zune blog site ZuneUser.com. I got the domain a day after the Zune name was announced and seek to maintain it as a Zune related news and information blog. The WP skin was not designed by me.

The Bad

• No favicon - Favicons are very nice to have because when bookmarked your site has a unique icon in the bookmark list. Also, in browsers besides Internet Explorer it will show up by your address and it signifies and shows the uniqueness of your site.
• Menu is hard to read - I believe the big lettering to be too big and the small text is too light of a grey and hard to read.
• Small text color change - I think the text color should be changed for the small text in the banner and the copyright section. They should both match each other in color. I was thinking if you used that lime green it would still stand out, accent the color accordlingly, and still look good.

The Good

• The site is clean - The site has a very clean look and it is nicely layed out. I like how easy it is to read and view.
• Good color scheme - I love the color scheme to the site. You didn't overdue the blue and make it too dark and you didn't overdue the lime green and make it too bright.

Site review

Hi. First of all, the template looks like a basic Wordpress template - just a bit improved. The colours and borders are good, the banner/navigation bar is nice, but you might want to colour the white background of your site. Second, the content is good and well-based.

Detailed Analysis

As I loaded up the screen, I saw the simple layout and was looking forward to what you had to offer about this great new gadget. I then looked to my right, to the scroll bar > It was not very big and I knew that I would be scrolling through a lot of information. As I scrolled down, I skimmed over the titles and stories, pass your YouTube video and down to the bottom. For a visitor, that is a lot of information to read and they will easily be turned away from it. Where are the images? Where are the short and easy to read statistics and possible features? I want to know about that first, and maybe you should consider placing that at the top.

Your banner at the top is just text. Why not a simple logo? People who see your site might not have any idea what Zune is so you should play some small text saying something like "Microsoft's iPod" or something like that. It gets a bit plain with a blog with just text and hardly any images.

Additionally, you should catergorise your stories. All I see on the right menu is General. Maybe splitting them up to News, Features, Media etc. Thus, anyone wanting to find specific articles will find them.

I then came across your Zune Info page > I think this should have come first. The images are bright and content is straight to the point. Wonderful. As your site recieves more visitors, some might want to submit content for you. You might want to consider a Contact Me page later on.

You've got awesome content and a simple layout. Just catergorising and images (Google has many) should be some points you should start to build on. Good luck!
