If this is supposed to be leeching from youtube I would probably say it is not worth a thing...no one will touch such an obvious problematic domain.

And I really cannot see what it could be used for in any other way, can you or do you simply want us to tell you what to do with it?

Maybe you were inspired by the cc tld currently in auction. Just shows that the typosquatters are alive and kicking. :bah:

youtub is a typo of youtube; therefore, you will be typosquatting on someone else's TM, especially if you use the site for the same kind of service offered by Youtube.

As Sparhawke says, you'll be "leeching" off someone else's TM--in other words, stealing traffic from Youtube.

If you use it to sell bathtubs or diet plans, then you might be okay.

If the domain was yourtub.org and was used for bathtubs it would be a lot better,
but the OP in his stated intention of usage, has registered the domain to steal traffic from youtube.

It is a possibility. Google is renowned for protecting its trademarks.

Haha.

It really doesn't matter if it's name utube.com or youtub.org, it obviously still resembles Youtube and you're just setting yourself up for failure. What is the point in competing with youtube.com for a video site anyway?

Just Dropping 1 "e" does NOT protect you from the Wrath of "You Know Who"

you are making no progress, you need to understand what you are getting yourself into. Do a little research on TM domains. I have dealt with this type of situation when I started domaining myself

Opening poster, to get a little more specific about the world of pain you are getting yourself into, YOUTUBE.COM is a registered trademark, with you setting up a competing site with one letter dropped and .org you will find yourself getting a cease and desist letter which in nice terms means "stop this site, take it down or we will b*tch-slap the crap out of you into bankrupcy"

Forget this site and be thankful you have only wasted $10

Yea best to get rid of the domain to avoid trademark issues in the future which can i be quite a headache put it on a godadddy auction a few times if it doesn't sell just let it expire, its only $10 on the bright site

Yes excellent idea. Then we can go through all this again when someone else buys it. :bah:
