what do you think about this domain?

Nice idea but using automobile as opposed to car or auto weakens it. Obviously the .net also weakens it. There is also an active forum on the .com so that doesnt make it easy to develop.

given all that i would say reg fee or a bit above that, maybe $20-30 at outside.

I was planning to build a forum for it anyway. Not sure what software to use. I don't think I could get a vbulletin righ away.. too expensive atm.

carforums.com is developed but carforums.net gets 10 times more traffic at any given time.. that might not be entirely true I think.

If you're not looking to invest all of your time into it (like -RJ- etc.), phpBB and SMF are just fine, especially with the hundreds of mods and themes you can find. Take a look at a site like zunescene.com and you'll see that you can build a popular and active (nearly 30,000 members, many active) forum without the need to pay the $165, however, if you're in it for the long run (5+ years or more) it would probably be a good idea to invest, if just for the added security alone.

site is ready and this is the best I could do. I couldn't find anything better out there that is not in anyway trying to look like other forum themes. Security-wise it is pretty stable but can't be sure. Hopefully this site will bring enough revenue soon enough so I could switch to VB. But anyways this is the best I could do for now. What do you think?
