I have done the survey as well. As somebody who creates surveys regularly though I thought I would offer some advice with regards to the last question.

People don't particularly like having to write or think up answers and I found that there was too much leeway in the last question for people to give all sorts of answers. Whilst you do not want to prejudice peoples answers, you are making a lot of work for yourself by having to collate each individual response. A much better way of doing it would be to give a selection of say 10 or so options for people to pick all that are relevant or for them to even rank. Then have a comments box for people to add in options not already listed.

Just my twopence but I think i.) it will be far easier to collate and ii.) you may get a better response rate. I nearly didn't do the survey because of the 'thinking' involved - not that I don't normally think - I am just in point and click mode at the moment :lol:

An easy service for surveys is available FOC from freesurveysonline.com - I have used them in the past and recommend them quite a bit, especially if you don't have a big budget.

We're doing a follow-up survey to finish this doctoral research. It has been decided by the faculty administration that one of the repsondents will win a Free 6GB iPod Mini (including free shipping) for her/his participation - this is open to everyone worldwide.

There are no open-ended questions in this questionnaire so it can be completed by only clicks.

There are two questionnaires: one about Hotmail, the other about Yahoo! Mail. These two websites were chosen because they are popular sites but this research is purely academic so data or results will not be shared with Microsoft Corporation or Yahoo! Inc.

Please enter your email only if you want to take part in the free iPod draw. Collected emails will not be used for any other purpose. When data collection finishes, the winner will be determined and contacted by email.
