Common or not it should be renewed and protected for your future use. Got my Children name secured. Leslhee (dot) com and Lindcey (dot) com Planning to build their own blog, or their own e-commerce website.

I have my kids' firstlast.com. That's it. I couldn't get their first or last name alone. I once had my firstlast.com, but dropped it 20 years ago. I regret that.

Unrelated, I also have 1 firstname.com domain, but its not common. Still, I'm keeping it...well, its for sale, but I'm not going to drop it. It's 19 years old.
