My first reg'd domains would be (pre-domaining):

I honestly can't recall why I reg'd those, wasn't domaining at the time. But then after a few years of renewing those babies, I stumbled upon domaining.com, got sucked in, and reg'd my first "investments":

Cyclojob.com
Betahunch.com
Xbrdr.com (which i later sold to a Swedish cargo business)
Tapdy.com
Iapprv.com

Stellar stuff.

My first domain was not for resale... registered "alfert.com" (my last name) in 1994. Whois creation date (1996) is incorrect because I lost a two years when I transferred registrars back in 1996. If I remember correctly, original .com registration was $100 for 2 years through network solutions (the only choice back then).

You rightly said 'fortunate' bcz most of my domains are not worth a dime so no question of selling them and this happens to majority of domainers...

My first 3 Domains were I think:

It was for an App I developed for finding sports anywhere, anytime to join (is now on hold for a major future update once I make some money)

I was going to develop a site with 500 App spaces where people pay for space by auction.

Selling Onesies that I was dropshipping (on hold because company I was dealing with closed!)

I was going to develop most of my domains but selling them right away is quick cash.
