I've private messaged myself on a few occasions when I needed to remind myself about something for when I returned home. It's kind of useful, I guess, if you need to store a piece of information or have a popup reminder upon your next visit.

You can also store notes in your Personal Notepad inside your User CP. I've stored some half finished posts here.

But there isn't a popup reminder.

Google Desktop does that, you might want to check it out; of course with hundreds of other nifty features.
