yahoo has upped the limit on their premium accounts to 2GB of storage, and lowered the cost to $19.95 per year. I'm actually tempted to stay with them now ...

:lol: @ armstrong if he stays with yahoo. When it comes down to email, there's not much difference between 1gig and 2gigs. They both take forever+1 day to fill. Not to mention that you have to pay for those 2gigs yahoo is offering

Seriously, Yahoo still has other bundled services lacking in gmail like the instant messenger, SMS, and Norton anti-virus. I also happen to like folders, which are absent in gmail. I already pay them for a $50 premium account, so their lowering my cost to $20 and raising my space allotment may be persuasive.

For me, the main things are:

Yahoo
Pro: Folders and ability to use Outlook
Con: No good names left unless you want to be [email protected]

GMail
Pro: Great user names available and FREE!
Con: No folders and cannot use Outlook etc... yet!

As for Instant Messenger... I wouldnt be so sure.

I honestly think that Google my venture into this territory. MSN, Yahoo! and AIM are the big players.

Imagine G Messenger! Who knows whats round the corner... :o

google has something even better than folders.. labels..they are amazing..as i have contacts from both school, work, friends, and organizations..its great..people can be in more than one, and will show up in all lables that pertain to them.. and then messages sorted by conversation...great stuff

Not all day but most of the day.
