I just bought an xbox 360 bundle. I have a lot ( over 20 ) old xbox games, but I can't seem to play them on my xbox 360. How do I get my old xbox games to play on the new 360? Secondly, does the xbox 360 play high definition dvds ( hd-dvds )?

You need to download a special patch which allows you to do so.

And I believe it does play hd dvds, as it has all the requirements, including an included HD xbox->tv lead. (Forgive the non-technical terms.)

You can only play HD DVD's if you buy the external HD DVD rom.

Regarding the games have you put the 360 online yet? If you don't want to sign up for live you can sign up for a silver account. You will not be able to play online but it will download the game updates which should make most (if not all) of the games work.
