Simple search on google tells me it stands for "What Would You Do"? This Niche is very good, in fact excellent for Online Stuff like Q&A, Personal Profiles (Social net) etc. IMO this niche possibly mid $x,xxx+ for this great name (for an end user buyer like yours).

Also lot of other domain extensions have been registered, and you have this domain for 10+ years. IMO this makes it still stand at Mid $x,xxx.

I would take an offer at Mid $x,xxx and push it to online auction. If it's escrow exchange, I will mostly negotiate at High $x,xxx, but might consider Mid $x,xxx at the end.

There could be plenty of other reasons for an end user to approach you for this name, in such a case, the price range may vary.

Okay. I did not know what wwyd stood for before I read this thread and I don't think it is worth nearly that much money. Maybe low to mid $xxx. Of course I am middle aged and not up on texting abbreviations.

You may get high $xxxx for this domain, but I believe it would take you 20+ years of waiting and hoping before that ever becomes a reality.

I think you are looking more at low $xxx.

Gauge your appraisals: If someone joined around the same time you did, then they probably have about the same experience as you. We all see dollar signs, even if fictitious, when we first start doing this.

You've got a valuable domain here, but don't bet on retiring from its sale. Try to stay realistic and conservative.

Thanks! I'm actually not in the business, or looking to be. We bought this domain for our own use many years ago, and are no longer using it (but have kept up the reg. fee). We were contacted out of the blue with a low offer, but aren't really that interested it selling it. (Well, maybe for the right price!)

Just found more info

After searching the web, I discovered that ABC actually has a show called "Primetime: What Would You Do" (looks like it's on right before 20/20). The website for the show has the acronym "WWYD" all over it. Does that affect the value of the domain at all?

There is a thread that discusses a domain that Gene held, tripleadvantage(.) com. And the lengths in which the company (Experian I believe) went to buy the domain cheap.

I can't find where I read it but I am sure it was on Namepros.

I see a wide range of opinions here. My first impression was reg fee but it's really hard to tell. My next move would be based on a) the legitimacy of the offer, and b) the source of the offer.

Without a standing offer, this would probably be a reg fee to low $xx name. So if you can muster $xxx (or even better $xxxx) then you have done well. If you find out it's ABC offering, you might want to hire a professional broker or call up Rick Schwartz and tell him you'll cut him in for 30% if he handles the deal.

Brainstorm over.

I agree, if this can be marketed towards the acronym for "what would you do" you may have a shot at mid $xxx but other than that, at this state Id say its worth mid $xx and up to low $xxx if your really lucky.

I didn't immediately see it. I saw "this is close to WWJD".

That isn't instant brand, but it's pretty close.

I do think that WWJD is running its course but I would say that the time is now for selling.

So - depends on your expectations

I would think that $1K would be a fair initial price without knowing anything about buyer. That would only scare off people offering under $100 imho.

Some people will take a valueless domain and negotiate up to $XX,XXX for something worth $XX (right place , right time) depends on your own risk factor really.

I would doubt it's ABC. They already have a site
