There's no way you could own this name yet, you just won it today on Afternic... Wait until transfer is finished before asking appraisal for a name since you are supposed to own it. I like the name, I bid on it too. I ALMOST outbid you at the last minute but decided against it. Good luck. A movie is your best bet I'd say.

In all seriousness though, I would look long and hard for republican websites and entities to sell the name to. One thing that really doesn't get much press coverage is the Saddam trial, and Saddam.com is just about the perfect name for a site keeping up with the trial. Republicans are generally the ones that want the trial to be mentioned more, as they are still seeking as much justification for going into Iraq as possible to get more people to believe it was not a bad decision. Since they can't find weapons, almost 100% of that justification will come from how much of a sleaze Saddam is, all of which is being brought up in the trial. The better the domain, the more official and less political the site would seem, so strategically speaking, they would be wise to get Saddam.com and develop on it.

So...you really could have a great buy on your hands. I saw the Afternic auction too and would have probably outbid you but I'm still dead broke thanks to a non-paying bidder on that same site...how ironic!

The notorious Saddam or any other Saddam, you have a good name that will be easily remembered for a very long time to come.

I can see a smart entrepreneur using this name using a slogan to promote products/services similar to " not the one you loved to hate but----" would pull in the inquisitive JMO

It is not a name I would like to own but it is a name that will not be forgotten for a very very long time, i would not be surprised if they don't eventually make a movie about him.
