I need a name for a marketplace for writers. Something that will bring together writers and agents and similar.

It has to be .com without hyphens or numbers and ideally short and one word.

And of course, it has somehow to be related to writing.

Thanks

Short dictionary word .coms will generally cost you a fortune. I have a few 2-worders related to writing like GreatText.com, HouseholdWords.com & Writer1.com.

Not a .com but i have writers.cc, am considering letting it drop so any offer has a good, no very good chance of it being accepted..

Dont forget, if your developing, the ext counts for nothing unless your looking for type in traff...

Thanks all for replies so far.

I am not looking for type-in traffic and the client is developing it definitely. However, he wants to advertise offline a lot and also he will cater to not very Internet experienced people and we think that having .com extension is crucial. From magazine and other ads, people will remember the name but in the browser they would automatically append .com to the remembered name.

It doesn't have to be one word. Can be more if it's still short and makes sense.

And finally, we are aware about the cost of single dictionary word .com-s but if the name is right the client could probably afford it.

Keep them coming.

procrastinated.com??? Now that would be a good name for writers... :) Although, they probably wouldn't appreciate it

WriterPlace.com is not too bad and it's free. I would even consider it if I could buy writersplace.com as well, but that one is registered by ultsearch and lately they haven't even answered my very serious offers.

BTW, if you get an idea for an unregistered name, I will of course pay you something for the find...

Hi all,

thanks for all the proposals and ideas. I especially have to thank to all of you who PM-ed me some pretty cool unregistered names. It's a great community here and on the DNF...Unfortunately, none of the domains so far were good enough. I'm really looking for a first class names. Even writing.com wouldn't be out of budget if it would be for sale.

However, since all of the best ones are taken we are looking for something imaginative - something that is writing related but is not a common usage word, maybe has some story behind and can be branded. Some cool word coined by Shakespeare or similar. Something short and memorable.

Please, keep coming with ideas. If you are reselling it or just find an unregistered one, you'll be properly compensated. Thanks.
