as the turkey in the ten gallon hat talking gibberish is unwatchable imo

The Ten Gallon Hat was Rick Latona's auction, Pred...He didn't have Ad.com (And, I agree - that auctioneer was totally unintelligible - I couldn't understand a friggin thing he was saying - I bet he's an Arizona cattle auctioneer in real life, more used to being around cows than people...lol).

Ad.com was sold at Moniker TRAFFIC auction....If it hadn't been for just 2 bidders, the name would have sold for the Reserve of $450,000, I think...

Interesting to see that Rick Schwartz was in the room, but didn't appear to bid for Ad.com...

Great to see a soaring price....but, it was just those 2 guys that did it. Pretty average auction, otherwise.

Honestly if I have US$1.4 million to spend, I won't do it on that but on realestate while market is actually really interesting now. Why not having 3 or 4 apartments (1 in hawaii, 1 florida, 1 California,...)these will make faster ROI (renting and selling when market will rise)
Or maybe:
Ad.com owner must be a multi-billionaire and already have all villas around the world maybe so Ad.com was just like his toy. LOL

No seriously ad.com is not about advertising but Artificial Development: Marcos Guillen: Human Neural Network Simulation

P.S.: don't know if I can post url of his website but if not allowed, sorry mod, you can remove url.

He hasn't bought it for the money, he's bought it for his business. What's more valuable to a business? An amazing domain that fits with what they provide perfectly and is extremely rare, or a couple of apartments? If you even have to think about that, you're in the wrong place.

I think premium names like this will always get top prices even if the rest of the market is not doing so well. Maybe we won't see too many 10 million dollar sales but these ones should be regular.

I've nothing with domainers that are newbies like you telling me I'm in the wrong place but I still believe on what I say : couple of apartments are better than a 2 letter at this price even for business (you can get many other similar names for your business and avoid to spend that high) but if he is a millionaire (and YES the new owner is a billionaire he came with his green ferrari at TRAFFIC) it doesn't matter how much he spends.
