Would you use this domaining software?

Hello,

I created a little domaining software for my own use. There are two things it does:

1) Store domains and prospective end user emails+names+other relevant info to database.
2) Send email to these users with predefined salesletter with variables such as recipient's name, organization and such. - This phase is still in development, largely due to possibility of being labeled as spam.

Of course you still have to manually add the domains and manually search for the emails, but once you added them to the program all can be found from one place. Another neat thing about this software is the ability to send many customized emails with one click. You can define a default salesletter with variables such as end user's name, company and other data. Furthermore, you can schedule emails to be sent out later.

I've thought the software answers to (at least) three questions:

1) How can I store all of my domains and end user contacts in one place?
2) How can I send out customized emails to end users without needing to manually write/copy paste every email?
3) How can I schedule emails, for example when I don't have access to computer or when recipient is in different timezone yet I don't want him to receive the email in strange hour?

I had a thought that maybe others might find it useful as well. Thus I'd like to know would you use this kind of software? Furthermore, would you be ready to pay for it?

The reason I'm asking is that depending on the answers I get, I either develop the software further (needs a lot of development for commercial use) or just keep using it for my own benefit. So please share your initial thoughts about this software!

no, I would not use, nor recommend

why?

basically, it's a spam program

I've seen the results of how they work....in my "trash" box

Thanks for your feedback. I hate spam too. I'm aware that if released to public spam might become concern. In this case I'd make sure the program is CAN-SPAM (and other possible anti-spam law) compliant.

The point of this program is not to spam, but to save time. I know there's a fine line between those two. Then again, I don't see much difference in:

1) Copy-pasting salesletter individually and changing couple of variables in the it and sending them out one by one.

and

2) Doing exactly the same thing but with my program.

Any thoughts on this?

When it is an automated, volume operation it automatically becomes spam no matter what. Technically/legally you might be able to requalify it as 'smart mail' but it still tastes like spam...

On the other hand I think there is growing market for software that kills the spam sent to domainers.

Thanks for your feedback. You are probably right: If this program was released to public, it might very well be labeled as spam soon. I'll keep on developing it, perhaps taking the email function out altogether, going more for a CRM-type solution.
