Theres a store here that sells bread, snack cakes, etc....

A few years ago a female employee was robbed and murdered there. The store closes at 4pm I believe. They didnt find her body until the delivery truck got there at 2 or 3 am. There was blood everywhere from what the papers said.

They closed the store for like a week, paid a company to come in and clean the mess up. The store reopened and people still go there and buy stuff.

I just cant bring myself to go in or even eat something someone else bought there. I even get goose bumps and chills if I am near something that came from there..

My family tells me I am weird and need "help".

What do you all think?
Would you shop there or eat food from there?

You have to think about what's stopping you from going there... the fact that someone died there? Especially if you live in a big city there's probably at least one place during the day you go that someone was murdered, you just didn't hear about it.

well if that would be the case with everybody i guess noone would eat anything in a hospital cafeteria cuz of so many ppl dying around there.

Its not that someone died there. Its the fact the blood and other matter was everywhere. I dont believe you can clean all that up..

Well might be a little about someone dying there.. there was a small "mom and pop" where the guy hung himself in the big cooler. I could never go in there, still cant even after it was closed down and remodeled into an office supply store...

I can definitely understand where you are coming from and I think I would probably find it hard not to think about. However I do agree that you can't let fears restrict you from going about normal things like going to the shop.

I suppose it's a bit like an experience I had where my best friend that was there for me all through High School drowned at about 17 years old when swimming in the river near us. It was a very hard time for me and I could not go to the river for some time without thinking of what had happened. However I was eventually able to go there without having the constant thoughts of his death. I am now fine with the place as it's just something that happened and if it wasn't there it could have been somewhere else. It's the same with the shop, it wasn't the shop or place that was to blame it was the murderer.

I hope this makes some sort of sense, I think I've dribbled on a bit too long :D

It'd be hard, having all the blood, death and such things on your mind when you go there. It can become an obssession without you even knowing it.

But life goes on, and if it's open, then it merits users' patronage.

Last year my neighbor fell off a ladder into my backyard and cracked his skull. When I found him there was already a huge pool of blood. The ambulance came within 5 minutes but 15 minutes later (still in my backyard) he died.

It was right under my bedroom window so I slept with the lights on for a week. After a while I got over it, but I wouldn't go to the back after dark. That took about 3 months. Now I'm over that too. The only thing now is, there's a lemon tree right next to where he fell and I'll never eat those lemons again :(

I can see where you're coming from but I guess it's just one of those things you have to get past. It would probably take me a while though to make sure all that food that might've gotten blood on it is all gone before I eat there again.

I would understand anyone who felt weird buying stuff from that place. If there was another bakery nearby I'd probably opt for it, lol. It would freak me out too, but I think I'd start going back there after I've been given some time to get a hold of myself, heehee...

I'd be one of the first to shop there - just to see how empty it was (yes, I have a strange mind)

And how do you know its all cleaned up?

On the History Channel they did a Docu. on Lizzie Borden and they still found blood from that August 4, 1892 murder....
