Would this interest a lot of web designers?

We have a permission-based email marketing solution, and have found that web designers are some of our most successful resellers. I think it is because they can design custom templates and provide other value-added services for their customers. A couple of these designers have experienced quite a bit of growth after they started reselling permission-based email marketing along with HTML email design services. One of our resellers now does almost exclusively email marketing consulting now with great success.

We would like to get more website designers as resellers of our service but we are not sure how to market to designers. What would be the best way to reach a lot of designers? Google AdWords campaigns directed to designers is one thing we are considering. I would love some feedback from designers and others on how to market to designers. Thanks.

Search around for some marketing forums and post what your offering and why they should agree to work with you.

Thanks for the suggestion. Do you mean they would be interested in reselling or do you mean we would hire them as marketing consultants or what?

Thanks.

Go to various design companies, make a collective list of emails and pitch them whatever your selling or want them to sign up for.

Wouldn't that be spam? I mean if I email them all at once, how is that different from spam?

That brings up an interesting point, if I found designer websites and emailed or called them individually that would be okay, I think. Is that considered spam to email someone individually?

Thanks.

Hmm. If that is spam then i am guilty as charged. Spam is unsolicited email which does not concern the person you are sending it to. Like when you may or may not receive an email with a plug to computer software. If a 40 year old mother got that, then it is spam. If you are simply pitching your idea to a group of people that is no differnet from having a meeting in the boardroom.

Well, i think sending to a group would be spam if they did opt in to your list. That is what permission-based email means to comply with the CAN-SPAM regulations.

But I think it is okay to an individual is okay...
