It was unthinkable that a baseball team that boasted only a small group of major-league wanna bee's and has-beens could twice beat a team composed of elite major-leaguers. But, that's exactly what happened when the Netherlands, little known for its contribution to the baseball world, stunned the Dominican Republic for the second time in the World Baseball Classic.

The Domincan roster earns over $80 million this year in the majors, while the Netherlands players earn barely anything. The 2-1 extra-inning loss sent the Dominican packing, and the Honkballers (as they're affectionately known) onto the second round.
If you haven't been paying attention to this great sporting event, now is the time to jump in.
