Thank you for taking the time to appraise the domain Biggie.
Why do you think this domain is worth regfee only if I may ask?

because their (facebook) purchase, has no bearing on the value of your name, or the perceived value of it

Ok, fair enough.

But how does this drive down the value of Workplace to regfee?

I would think there is no shotage of potential endusers for a business / productivity related and quite likely brandable domainname. Don't you agree?

Hi

what "drives" the value up... the fact that you own it?

until you sell it for more than acquisition costs, or you get offers above that cost, or it gets traffic/revenue, or you develop a biz model for it....then it's value remains the same.

also, it's not .com or .org, it's a .nl, which is country code for The Netherlands.

additionally, you may think their is "no shortage" of potential end-users, but in reality....how many people have knocked on the door to your email address, with an offer?

just saying.....

Good Luck!

What's wrong with the .nl extension? I am from the Netherlands, and not being biased, I think it's a perfectly good extension, with a very decent amount of aftermarket activity going on here. As English is basically like our second language, it also happens to be a perfectly good market for englisch words.

In reality in the few days I now own this domain (dropcatch from october 28) I have had 3 Sedo offers and two people knocking at my door with inquiries on the domain.

That being said, how would you appraise workforce provided this additional information?

@biggie: Thanks for taking the time to express your opinion.

I think it is a good domain for a company that offers office management services of all sorts...
But I wouldn't count on FB to buy it.

Hi Jasper

since you've had offers (which is good), then the value rests with "what those specific potential buyers" are willing to pay or have offered.

being from The Netherlands, you have same insight about your region, that i would have about USA, and alternatively, if I owned 'workplace.us', it would be perceived in the same way...... to others, as I previously stated.

Good Luck!

imo...

Years ago I spent some time in Amsterdam, everybody spoke excellent English there. Facebook bought work.place, they launched the service already, my bet is they will eventually utilize work.place, as the name is so suitable for social media where FB dominates. But also your domain is good, both for FB and other companies. Do not rush with the sale, take your time. IF FB will succeed with their new service in large scale (we will see in year or two), so will be number of searches for it increased, making your site much more valuable in time.

If you are in rush and do not want to wait, check NP threads and study the information about sale of work.place, you will find the person who sold it to FB.

If you can not find it, PM me, I can give you some hints.

Defenitely not in a rush to sell. Just being curious about what others would perceive as a reasonable pricepoint.
