My site http://www.linkheaven.net/dn can be viewed perfectly fine in FF, but not in IE. Does anyone know why? Is IE not Web 2.0 compatible?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

is it happening for you as well though?

My guess is, that, it could be the visiblity CSS tag may be interfearing with the other divs. Or maybe Internet explorer does not know how to interpret visiblity tags in Css.

By the way you got a awfull amount of javascript, lol

It is visible in Internet explorer as well as on Avant, a browser based on IE

IE and Firefox will have different viewings on the same code, because IE does not follow to the HTML standards completely, and it got some special tags for IE only.

ie 6 is not showing anything, but on ff 1.7.12 everything's showing up. i usually open it up with macromedia dreamweaver and saving it on there for cross browser compatibility

I believe I found the issue, but I can't tell whether FF is handling it the right way or wrong way. But anyway, this is what my HTML Validator says, "Reached the end of the document before finding the end tag for "style" in line 18. All text after this tag was ignored."

Line 18
Code:
<style type="text/css">
<!--
#topbar{
position:absolute;
border: 1px solid black;
padding: 2px;
background-color: lightyellow;
width: 620px;
visibility: hidden;
z-index: 100;
}
</style>

It's saying the close tag for <style> couldn't be found because there's a html comment tag at the start. Remove the <!-- and everything should be fine.

This is why it's a bad idea to design for Firefox... Yet another example of it getting it wrong :(

It is almost always a css error. It is because IE is stupid. Do this:

1)Make a top box
2)Put the header in the top box
3)Put the buttons in the top box

If the box is the exact height of the buttons and the header it will smush em together!
