Amazing. Someone posted the quotation here earlier, "A fool and his money are soon parted."

Actually, someone got a bargain on that one. It's a high traffic domain and good PPC rate. Granted, it needs to base it's existence purely on backlinks.... :)

That part made me laugh pretty hard.

I guess it is the longest domain which was ever sold. It doesn't worth 2$ :lala:

I agree with you but ...6 words? If the buyer will focus on good SEO, I guess it can become a good investment...else...it is hard to type such a domain lol

I have domains that are even longer that get good PPC rate. I agree that NO ONE will type this in, but if the back-links are strong it will do well. I would imagine they will simply park this domain and get as much as they can before the links ultimately fail. That could happen in a month, a year or multiple-years IMHO.

I agree. Eventhough $216 is a funny number. I am curious if they negotiated :)

They won in the TDNAM (Godaddy) auction. It was in the expired domains section.

Just goes to show that people will buy anything if there are numbers in the traffic column at TDNAM.

1600 exact Google searches for "work from home data entry jobs" in January.

Could be record for longest tail expression that consistently receives 1K+ exact Google searches per month. And I'd thought "the lion sleeps tonight" couldn't be beat.

The non-hyphenated version would be solid bargain at $216 (but has apparently been registered since '06). The hyphenated transformation is probably worth closer to $40-$80.

I agree. Never trust the traffic numbers at TDNAM! I do my own analysis and this domain checked out as having good potential ongoing traffic. I own thousands of investment domains and thousands of traffic domains. Both involve completely different decision-making processes. If you're looking for a traffic domain, you don't care what it looks like, the extension or how long it is (unless you're relying on type-in traffic which you might as well forget trying to get these days). If the back-links are qualified links and there are a lot of different unique links, and those domains are high traffic, then there is a good chance for ongoing traffic on the expired domain. Too many domainers think looking at overture, keyword analysis, or PageRank is going to tell them something about ongoing traffic, and more often than not, they're on a wild goose chase because Google/Yahoo will kill the SERPs once they're parked.
