I have a WordPress site that doesn't have or never even had a SSL cert... but for some reason Google is indexing my main page and a couple others with "https" instead of "http"

I have the canonical urls set and it's set correctly.

I never modified the default robots.txt or .htaccess files but here they are:

My robots.txt file:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /wp-admin/
Disallow: /wp-includes/

My .htaccess file:

# BEGIN WordPress
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
</IfModule>
# END WordPress

If anyone can help me figure out why this is happening and how to fix it I'd greatly appreciate it.

https is better than http..... so you shouldn't be worried about it.

https is more secure than http but if you never had a SSL cert installed it will throw out errors in the visitor's browser and they might be turned off of your site. Did you recently do a restore of any old backups or have any server admins working on your site? Also, are you on a dedicated server, Shared or Reseller or something?

I forgot about this thread...

But anyways I noticed my problem started right after I installed the WPtouch plugin...
I disabled the plugin and uninstalled it and the next day things were back to normal...

Might be just a coincidence, I really have no idea.
