Why?

can anyone tell me why a website oneday old has a page rank of 2 ?

the template is an artisteer from memory (links in the footer) is the deal to use the template or is is the two wikipedia links included in the about page

The last thing i expected to see was an instant page rank , the thing is i will probably change the template but hope i won't lose the ranking ?

love to hear some opinions though

All new websites generally shows up with good SERP after it has been launched. It will eventually do the g00gl3 dance and move down in ranks.

seems it has a slight history but very basic frontpages and not even content pages or anything to be indexed by both previous owners ?

Probably the pr2 is from previous life.
If the new owner works on the site, he can probably keep it.

What is a new site does good in the SERP's?
New one I never heard of.
So I put up a site, it shows up on first page of google right away?
Better rethink that position.

the old site is completely gone and it has a new template , which is an artiststeer template from memory , they let you use their templates and they put a few links in the footer (that cannot be removed) i wonder this is a contributing factor , also the about page has two links to wikipedia ?

Well, it happened to my brand spanking new websites. Not sure why but maybe implementing proper on page SEO was the main reason. One particular website that I've launched 3 weeks ago has a dot info extension with two pages and its ranking #2 on page 1 of G00gl3 for a real estate keywords. How? Beats me because I really don't understand how G00gl3 completely works. I don't think anyone does except for M. Cutts.

i sure don't expect to be on the front page for 'small business' but i can say i used the wordpress plugin 'all in one seo pack'
