Why Google and Microsoft Signal “SI” as the SuperIntelligence Identity ?
Google’s acquisition of Google.si and GoogleSI.com is not about brand protection.
If it were, Google would also own domains like GoogleIO.com. They don’t. That matters.
Instead, Google specifically secured “SI” domains. This shows intent, not defense.
Microsoft shows the same behavior. They acquired Copilot.si, but did not acquire Copilot.io. Again, this is not accidental.
Top technology companies do not buy domains randomly. They buy what they believe will matter long-term.
The pattern is clear:
These companies are not saying this publicly they are showing it through ownership.
In domains, actions matter more than statements.
Capital decisions reveal belief.
The conclusion is simple:
“SI” is being quietly recognized as the future identity of SuperIntelligence.
In- Depth review: .ai is the country-code domain of Anguilla, and .si is the country-code domain of Slovenia both open for global registration. Slovenia’s small population only (~2 million) and non-English language mean most local domains use Slovenian words, leaving many high-quality English .si names available. This allows .si to function naturally as a global identity extension, not a local one. As Big Tech invests trillions of dollars into SuperIntelligence, the term “SI” is increasingly aligned with that future. SuperIntelligence is not only an evolution of AI or AGI, but a much higher paradigm. With only ~170,000 .si registrations (2023–2025), the extension appears to be at a stage similar to .ai (2019-2022) before its global breakout, making this an early identity cycle rather than a late trade.

- .io is treated as a general developer or SaaS space
- .si is being positioned as the identity layer for SuperIntelligence
