Why does my browser freeze?

everytime I have more than one webpage open, my browser simply freezes and then the hour glass appears. This is followed by a message: "Internet Explorer needs to close do you want to send an error report" etc. Why does it do this and how can I stop it?

Also, I have ASDL, and its still slow because it seems to scan every page with Norton Antivirus, before opening it; is there any way I can disable this thing?

i have the same problem mate,

i ended up loading up another browser.

It seems as if IE has some sort of Java script conflict with me.

The problem happens when i click any links.

I use to have that problem...download a Spyware and Adware software.
Most likely it some adware that is forcing IE to do that. When I downloaded those 2 software, it fixed my problem.

try to uninstall your present browser then install a new one....

Short simple answer... your running MS Windows.

But..

You can try updating your windows using the update link in your start menu, download an adware/spyware removal tool and run it. ( that should fix most IE browser problems)

Or you could just install netscape or another browser...

As for the norton open it up and under options or preferences you should find an option to stop it scanning your webpages. Or you could just right click the norton icon on your task bar and disable it altogether.. (not recommended thoe unless you confident you wont get infected) Sorry cant be more exact i dont use norton but its in the options some where.

Norton Script Blocking

Open Norton
Options
Script Blocking
Enable Script Blocking > off.

That's the only thing that scans websites, IIRC.
