Hi
I've been wondering some time now of 'who's in charge of the internet?'.
A Corp.? A person? No one? God
?
I mean, you pay money to the ISP, ISPs themselves pay upstream ISPs for Internet access, upstream ISPs are connected one another in a web of cables.
Who is in charge at that point?
Who is in charge of giving out IP adresses? I mean someone has the power to say that ISP/Corp get's a A-class Ip adress. Also My Ip starts with a '81.' does that mean my ISP is part of one of the 128 biggest networks?
And how important is the Jupitermedia Corporation (whois of internet.com)?
Oh and one more question, Is internet.com the most expensive domain out there? if not, why not?
PS: hehe, sorry for these questions, but they have been bothereing me for quite a while now xD
Kind regards
Peter
