Whois Server lookup problem

Hey guys,

I am running a hosting company for about a month now and I am right now in the progress of allowing my customers to register domains with me. Everything's fine and I found a reseller but I am having issues checking wether the domain is taken or not.

I am using a script that is working fine for .de, .com, .net, .org and .info

But I can't check the following domain names:

.us
.es
.be
.it
.es
.lt
.lv
.nl
.pl
.co.uk
.asia
.me
.in
.mobi
.name
.co.in
.tv
.bz
.cc
.mn

I already tried to find the correct whois servers using google but I wasn't that succesfull and when I found a whois server it didn't work.

So for me there are two possible errors: 1. wrong whois server, 2. wrong gateway (like: -h )

I hope you can help me with this problem., thanks for you efforts.

Take a look at:

IANA — Root Zone Database

Click on the TLD you want to lookup, then check the "Whois Server" entry.
