Who can explain that?

I have a domain name.. .info .. But there are some unnormal things. About 2 weeks this domains generates ~20 uniques/day , and no clicks.. but 3 days this domain had abnormal traffic. I got a mail from sedo:

"Thank you for participating in Sedo's Parking-Programs ! We've detected some abnormal behaviour with your parked domains while doing a routine check on domains. Your traffic does not conform with typical rates. We would like to know where this volume of traffic has come from, as both Sedo and our advertising partner are concerned about users abusing the parking programme. I am particularly concerned about the domain names"

I am not doing any illegal actions. Just parked domain.

Wow, that is abnormal.

500 hits one day, virtually none the second, then shoots right back up the third day.

Definitely would raise some red flags if I was a parking provider.

I'd research the name as much as I can and find out exactly what's happening.

Name in the news? TV advertising?

Then again, shouldn't Sedo know where the traffic is coming from?????

No.. I backorder this name 3 weeks ago Was about 15 visitors every day.. and now 3 days with abnormal traffic ;/ And all traffic comes in 7 - 10 in morning GTM , other hours - no traffic. Domain have no alexa rank, only some blacklinks... Dictionary .info .

And SEDO asking me where this traffic is comming from....

Maybe if we had the domain name it might help?

If its like um.. a wrestling? domain.. I think here wrestling comes on at thursday.. so the "results" or somthing might be more saught after the next day. Weird example but you get the idea..

You know that stock trading sites probably get no traffic in the evening when the markets are closed. Maybe his domain has some sort of time senstive information? Thues/Thurs updated nuddies?

I got this exact same email twards the end of the first month I had domains parked at sedo. It turns out that one of the domains I bought the seller (aka thief/crook) had done something to direct traffic to the domain to boast the stats before selling the domain. I was getting like 50+ a day then all of a sudden 0. Sedo was fine right up until the traffic went to zero, then all of a sudden I got that nasty letter. (felt like a kick in the gut)

Anyways How I responded was to list exactly what I did know about where the traffic was coming from. (almost nothing) I also stated the truth in that I had just purchased the domain. Eventually sedo paid my revenue, as the domain was advertised previous to my purchase and without my knowledge. I still don't know for sure it was advertised, but all the indicators are there. As with your case, I did nothing to provoke the traffic surge. Just be honest and make sure they know you just bought the name. Worst case you may have to give up the $ from the unusual days. It sucks but its fair since chances are if the traffic was bogus the advertisers didn't get what they're paying you for.

Two lessons I took away from this. One is to keep only a few of my domains on each parking service. Don't risk all of your revenue by having all your names at the same place. The other is that I never park a domain until I have personally logged the traffic for a few weeks and examined it. I don't make a forture parking (yet) but I know I'm better off not parking a name that could cause me to lose my other revenue.

Tell them to look at the User Agent for the clicks and also see if they came from 4 different class C ip ranges. There has been an interesting bot floating around since last week.

Suck's .. Now this domain is parked into my hosting, and i will try to see, where is traffic comming from... yeasterday was ~75euros revenue and about 2000 uniques..

Today in morning i had no traffic... Only natural.. But what i need to do with sedo.. i have no idea.. I have written some mails with information, that i haven't done any actions for that. And waiting responses...
