You know when you see things that have black borders around them, but with a small (1 or 2 px) white space between it, how do you do that?

I know you can do it in Photoshop, but how do you do it in either of the following:

Flash MX
Xara X1
CorelDraw 12
Adobe Illustrator

Any tutorials / links? I hope you know what I mean! Thanks,

Will.

I don't use these programs, but why don't you just save it as a JPG and add the stroke around it in Photoshop.

Just a thought :gl:

Yeah, but for making logos, it helps if they are vector and Photoshop does not do vector :(

It doesn't. When you resize images in Photoshop, you get pixellation!

Only with raster images. Using the pen tool makes vector images also using shapes and text, until you right click the layer and rasterize, which you need to do to use filters.

If I draw anything with the pen tool or draw a shape (ellipse, rectangle etc.) and try to enlarge it, it still pixellates :-/

Na try it again. Make sure you get out of focus of the layer else you get that black line around your shape, which could make it look pixelated.

Check out the attached images. They show a circle when I first draw it, and a circle when I try to enlarge it. See the pixellation on the second one?
