What is it useful for ?
Which registrars catch domains and for who?

VeriSign.com ( networksolutions ) - Snapnames
domaindiscount24 ( rrpproxy.net ) - Snapnames
BulkRegister.com - Snapnames

Is this mean if the domain expired at domain registrar verisign.com SnapNames has the higher chance to get it ?
Yes or no ?

No. It just means the bandwidth to the registry of that registrar is dedicated to that catching service. Snapnames contracts with several registrars for their name registering services. Each registrar has so much bandwidth dedicated to them for registering names. Those who contract with more registrars like pool and snapnames have a statistically higher chance of beating someone else by a millisecond or so.

That list also shows if you use the dropcatch service where you are likely ending up having the name registered if you win.

Pool is one of the most successful, I think.

Pool is one of the most expensive, definitely.

Well, doesn't that go hand-in-hand? :hehe:

I like pool because they almost get all the domains I backordered
You need to pay the price if you want something bad enough..

I've never wanted a domain enough to warrant the price I could potentially pay at pool :(

I've had two snaps at enom this week (just got my reseller acct, thanks Dandy!).

Interesting this comes up. There was a domain I wanted very badly that was to drop today. It was coursedesigns.com. Not something most would pursue, however, it's perfect for my business. So I put a bid on enom, godaddy, namewinner (and the bid went high on NW) and pool.com.

And just my luck, not one out of the four snapped it. Talk about frustrating :( I had no interest in reselling, but rather to use it to replace one of my business site domains.

To my shock and amazement, godaddy snapped a domain for me yesterday. I'm so used to seeing the notice email "unsuccessful capture" from godaddy, I had to do a double take when I saw they actually snapped one. It's just not right! Godaddy isn't supposed to work, and here it snapped a name for me :)

Have setup snaps on all four of these so far this week. NW had nothing. Enom, so far, has the best record for me. Enom snapped another I really wanted bad, but for the traffic. uscreative.com. It has traffic that fits my business model.

Another day, another domain ;)
