I believe they're creating a network so vast that they can control the entire world through their base in California when they decide the time is right.

Google is NOT monopolistic. They want to make information more accessable for EVERYONE.

The thing about google is that they only survive because of other companies. If other companies were to dissappear so would google.

Google news - only works because of online newspaper articles
Google search - only works because of websites online

Do you realize how unlikely it is for ALL but 10,000 (even 1 million left for that matter) webpages went offline? Lol, I wouldn't worry about Google Search ;)

As for Google news - you're right on that, but in order to read the actual story you still need to go to the news' official website. In the EPIC 2015 (link to it here: http://googleplans.blogspot.com) Robin Sloan predicts that the NY Times even and most other major news corporations will go offline because Google's new algorithms would take specific sentences from each news site and combine them into their OWN news articles. (Yeah, they'd be sued as Robin Sloan says, but the surpreme court would rule in favor of Google)

Then, once those news companies go offline, every individual would contribute themselves and get a small profit of Google's tremendous income.

But that, even Robin Sloan thinks, would distort much of the information and make much of it untrue.

The future will be very interesting to watch :)
