What's your favorite meta tag?

someone was asking about meta tags in chat earlier.. which reminded me of my favorite meta tag,

<meta http-equiv="imagetoolbar" content="no" />

what it does is disable that stupid dialog that shows up in IE when you hover over an image too long.

What's your favorite and why do you use it?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
GoDaddyGoDaddy
<meta name="Keywords" content="some keywords" />

Because brings me traffic :xf.love: :p

Code:
<meta http-equiv="description" content="...blah..." />

Because otherwise search engines pluck text from the page to make your sites description.

Just a noob question (I know how everyone loves those :p )

With the ...blah... meta tag description,
where does it get the content from to display google's ads?
and how relevant would the ads be if it isin't taking site
content?

That one is good, but my #1 favorite is:

For visitors:
<meta name="Jedi Mind Trick" content="Click on my ads you will">

For googlebot:
<meta name="Jedi Mind Trick" content="Pagerank 10 this page you will give, and rank very well it shall do">

B-)

Other than that I always use the description and keywords tags, not much more... :)

...blah... was just filler text, I could have used 3 paragraphs of Lorem Ipsum, but decided not to, lol

<meta name="robots" content="index, follow">

I always add it myself as well, just to be sure, but according to Google those are the standard settings anyway if no robots meta tag is found, so it's not really needed.. :)

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />

For displaying my website to an international audience via UTF-8 language/character support. :)
