What's the best way to get dropping domains?

What's the best way to have a chance at grabbing domains as they are dropped. I tried one service, but their "instant" domain snapping tool only checks the domain once every tweleve hours 4pm and 4am, and obviously that's not going to get any domain worth a hill of beans.

So what's the best way to do it? Manually? Is there software that I can buy that will send my registration request to a bunch of different registrars repeatedly?

Thanks in advance! :D

If the name is half decent you don't have a chance manually. You can try:

Pool.com
Snapnames.com
Enom Club Drop
Namewinner

If you really want the name it's smart to backorder the domain at all of them.

okay this is subjective so I hope it won't be perceived as advocating...

but in my recent if limited experience, I would rank the drop services in this order (as of last week):

1) namewinner

2) enom

3) pool

4) all the rest

5) godaddy
