what is up with some of these domains?

^aramaca.com- it gets almost 60,000 uniqies a month? from where? wha does it mean? am i missing something?

^amerteurlister.com gets 17k uniques a month. and tehy only want 300$ for it?

what am i missing here?

Could have bought bulk hits, could be expired domain traffic.
The one with 17K uniques for $300 is probably purchased traffic, in all likelyhood.

Purchased, fake "traffic" is, unfortunately, very real ... and particularly heinous when it's used to manipulate a sale for a domain name / "traffic" domain name / "developed" site, IMHO. :tri:
Just a general statement, as always get as much information as you can from any one domain / domain owner, and try to verify all "traffic" claims from originationg and other sources, as well.

Script traffic has its sneaky origins in DDOS attack hack programming, where a site gets charged with millions of page calls. The scripting is a lot better today, using massive proxy networks and slave computers to simulate thousands of IP addresses. The true judge of traffic value is conversion.
